Where is everyone?

Well since cases are spiking in Houston again, our company has let us start working from home again. The requirement was to come in (staggered) at least once a week, but since I am in the process of starting a new position, I have to go in 3 days.. but I get Friday and Monday to work at home. Not too bad! And my new boss told me, what I do can be done from a beach house, a race track or wherever so to take advantage of it. I feel guilty doing that, but he told me not to, he wants us to be able to enjoy a less stressful few days. He technically died 4 times from covid so his outlook on life is totally different than it used to be. While I hope this doesn't last long, I plan to enjoy my new "4 day weekends"

I hope everyone has been doing well and staying healthy!

I'll cook dinner for my neighbor, then after dinner it's just another night home alone watching TV, Prime or YouTube. No big party at the families this year.

We will be ordering some curry take out mid afternoon and the two of us will share that buffet style and then we will lay out some snacks and a meat and cheese charcuterie and graze all evening and night and catch the new year on one of the networks.

We'll be watching the New Year arrive from behind our eyelids. Nothing special planned, just another day.

So what is everyone doing for New Year's this year?.. Hubby and I are having another couple over to play board games and play pool, they stay over.. last time they were over for New Years we were up until 4am, lol..

Glad you are safe and dry. Hope that there are no mudslides because of the storm. Today we are expecting snow!

Winter finally hit LA LA land. Last night we had a storm park over us for about an hour, lightning at the same time as the thunder with heavy rain and hail. It is the first heavy rain of the season. It was heavy enough and lasted long enough to wash all the dirt off of the SUV from the off shore winds we had a couple days ago. Today the high temp will be 52, for LA, that's cold.

They are working until about 6. I was surprised they worked after it got dark out. I hope they are done soon.
