My name is Ashlee! I'm 27 years old, mother of a beautiful baby girl, Addyson, and wife to a USMC Veteran. We love to cruise! Currently booked on cruise #8 (Carnival Freedom, January 2019).
October 2017 - 8 Night Southern Caribbean (Ft. Lauderdale Roundtrip) Cruise on Carnival Conquest
January 2017 - 8 Night Eastern Caribbean (Port Canaveral Roundtrip) Cruise on Carnival Sunshine
Great Time on the Sunshine!
We had a great time on the Sunshine! We had some rain on embarkation day and the first Sea Day but nothing too crazy. Lots to do on board and we made a lot of friends at the casino bar. We finally got to participate in the Love & Marriage show! Lots of fun. The staff was impeccable: Trinidad and Tsvetelin (Steve) in the MDR, Pete in the Piano Bar, and Ernesto at the casino bar. We had beautiful weather in the ports. The last night they brought back the Epic Rock show. Definitely see it if you have the chance!
April 2015 - 7 Night Eastern Caribbean (Miami Roundtrip) Cruise on Carnival Glory
This cruise was the 5th for me and it was one of my favorites! Everything was perfect from the ports to the weather. My first trip on the Glory was spent going north to St John and Halifax so it was nice to get down to the warmer climes. Ports were Roatan, Belize, Grand Cayman, and Cozumel. I highly recommend the jungle zipline and cave tubing in Belize! One of the best excursions my husband and I have done through Carnival. Also, Salvador and Monika were the best bartenders on the ship!
January 2014 - 8 Night Bahamas & Florida (New York Roundtrip) Cruise on Carnival Splendor
My husband and I got married on this cruise so I might be a little biased, but it was one of my favorites! Weather was a little dodgy in Port Canaveral and Nassau but everything else was amazing. We cruised with around 50 people including our family, friends, and bridal party.
January 2013 - 8 Night Bahamas & Florida (New York roundtrip) Cruise on Carnival Miracle
January 2012 - 7 Night Bahamas & Florida (Baltimore roundtrip) Cruise on Carnival Pride
June 2010 - 5 Night Canada/New England (New York roundtrip) Cruise on Carnival Glory
For a first cruise, it was a great way to get my feet wet, per se, and being exploring the world of cruising. Though not my favorite ports, I enjoyed spending time on the ship and some of the things we got to see on land. The Bay of Fundy was the high point of the trip for me. I learned about it in college and it was exciting to see in person.
We definitely need to book an excursion here next time. Not much to do right off the boat except the typical port shops.
Again, not too much to do right off the ship except the typical port shops. Definitely book an excursion here! We will be visiting Maho beach on our next visit.
Get some jello shots at the swim up bar in Margaritaville!
Take a taxi and hit the beach! We went to Isla Verde. About 10-15 minutes by taxi.
Very easy embarkation/debarkation process!
The Piano bar was our favorite place to spend time. Pete is hilarious after 10:30 when it's 18+ time.
If you're looking for a nice, clean, free beach, check out Junkanoo Beach. About a mile walk from the ship and has food/drink stands on shore. Great to relax!
