Just finished putting up the holiday decorations, how's everyone's else's decorations coming along?
Our went up a bit earlier than normal this year. In fact the whole neighbourhood was the same. We are usually one of the early ish ones getting the lights and what not up but this year, even though we were earlier than normal we were one of the last in the neighbourhood to do so. Must have something to do with people feeling trapped and down and needing the cheer.
Thanks! We had to put our last dog down about 2 years or so ago..it was super hard. He was 18 and my son just looooved him. Hoping he will be as excited as I am
He is a terrier mix.. I think his mom is a terrier mix and his dad was a pomeranian mix.. friends of ours that we race with have the mom who pretty much adopted them LOL so we will help pay for the shots etc they already got and drive to get it. They are about 2 hours away from us, so that will be a fun drive! He is the biggest one out of the litter and has such a sweet face. This was taken about 2 weeks ago.
Cute pup. The best part of my day during lock down is playing with my neighbors dogs, they bring so much happiness and joy into our day. Best X-mass gift you can give. I got my first dog for my 10th birthday, it is the only b-day gift that I can remember for a specific year. They are the gift that keeps on giving.
I will for sure!! She isn't the best picture taker

I started to put mine up after Halloween. It takes me a while, I only do it a bit at a time so it does not bother my back. I was the first house on the block to be light up on Thanksgiving night. This year I did not do as much as I had in prior years but the house still looks nice. The big Guava tree is all light up and the outline of the house. This year we did multi color light to be more cheerful, the last few years I did the house in all blue shimmering lights. The blue are elegant but look cold and icy. This year we needed to be as cheerful as possible.
Sounds like you really enjoy decorating, which is great.. I agree we need to be as cheerful as possible.
The puppy sounds like a challenge, maybe an early surprise this year.
Half the decorations are up. I just am not in the holiday spirit enough to finish them.
That is how I started off.. putting some up .. but then that favorite Xmas song came on.. and I that point I got emotional and the holiday spirit was there. I hope the holiday spirit hits you soon .
Sorta.. I had made an Amazon cart and was waiting for my bonus.. as soon as the bonus hit my bank, all I had to do was hit Checkout and I was done! I do need to get a few things for the hubby but not too much. I am just waiting on my 10 shipments But, that was before we decided to get a puppy for my son's "big" gift, so I do need to get some things for it and plan how Santa is bringing him into the house etc. My hubby was not having it, then all of a sudden Saturday he decided that it was a go. Not sure how to hide that from a 5-year-old who is a nosey rosey

Oh yeah, it will be. They live 2 hours from us, but thankfully grandma and nanna will be able to help with the little man while I go get it. It's been over 20 years since we have had an actual puppy in the house. This time we will do it right.. crate training, etc. Amazon is a wonderful thing! Think I will wrap up some of the toys etc we are going to get for the dog and have the kiddo open them and get confused a bit, then we will let the little rascal out of the box..and all heck will break loose I am sure.
Sounds wonderful!
