At home in Iowa trying not to be upset about my cancelled Mexico cruise!
Got my official letter this morning.. bummed but not bummed. I think I will let the angry callers die down before I call to re-book for next Summer. I totally understand your concern PInky.. My parents are trying to decide if they want to do the 14 day one they have scheduled in November. If they don't my dad said they would do 2 next spring/summer. I told him he should take the same one we do so we can do a family trip again.. I hope you and the hubby can figure out a good plan.. there is always next summer I just hope this virus can get under control soon. Not just for cruising, but for everything.
I hate to say it, but i fear a 2nd "stay home" order will be coming soon. Texas is getting bad as well as many other states. Next week our office returns to "normal" and several people are a bit worried. I will just stay in my office and only interact with people when I absolutely HAVE to.
We are enjoying some cooler (not cool just cooler) weather. We should get rain this afternoon and that will save a bit on the water bill. We are also now in discussions about our October B2B cruises. We are not sure we want to be in the first wave of cruisers once the "pause" is over. We are older at have a few underlying problems. Since we have made the final payment yet, we have minimal dollars invested. Will let you know when we decide!
Was a hot 90 with very much humidity here yesterday and today is supposed to be the same. A good day to take a slow walk along the beach and find a shady chair and suck back a few fresh tasty IIPA.
Question of the day: what would you be doing today if the virus hadn’t interrupted things?
I'd be at Santa Monica beach (3rd street promenade, the pier and walk down to Venice beach) with friends having a few Margarita's at the restaurant at the end of the pier as the sun sets ........ I miss dinners out. Or maybe at Shoreline Village in Long Beach and then dinner at Parker's Lighthouse.
Instead of that, I'm at home where the highlight of my day was getting my Amazon Prime order early (Candy, Wooo who) and getting my grocery delivery from Walmart.

Starting our 3rd staycation of the year today and trying to figure in which order to tackle the honey-do list. Plenty of projects, but I’ll save some time to cruise vicariously through YouTube.
Hi, everyone! It is 57F and raining. Nice day to be home curled up with a good book! Sadly, I've been reading the posts that indicate a longer pause in cruising. Hope everyone is safe and well!
Always loving it
