Summer in L.A., CA. I'll be having the holiday weekend with weather predicted from 100 to 113 degrees. On the bright side the high is moving down from up north so it should not be humid. I hope all of you are having a cooler weekend.

Be careful, when my Sister and oldest brother went off to school Mom then had my older brother and me. As mom said I may have been crazy enough to have 4 kids but I was not dumb enough to have them all toddlers at the same time. She also said "I had 4 kids, 2 with my young husband and 2 with my old husband, same husband" Big Smile

Yes, take that deep breath and smile. They grow up quickly.

Sounds like a good plan. My fingers are crossed all goes accordingly!

Best of luck with that ! I remember years ago, when our boys each started Kindergarten, my wife was a total wreck. Much better now, watching the granddaughters. Happy

I am just trying to make it through this week... my little man starts kinder next week, and lawdy I am not ready!! He is though, so that is a huge plus. This week we have all the pre-school-starting stuff. Thankfully I am still able to work from home for the most part so I can get it all taken care of... Lots of deep breaths coming from this mom today Crying

Well time to make some changes. Have all of this nice FCC and figured we would try again for our NE & Can cruise so cancelled our Med cruise for Sept 2021. Wife was not thrilled with trying to navigate EU with flights and what not so we booked Sept 2021 a 9 night NE & Can from NY on Joy. Easy to drive to with no flights. They actually had a 20% off on it so I still have 1200 from our FCC left which we can apply to pre paid gratuity or excursions.

Thinking about all our fellow cruisers in the path of Marco and Laura. Hope you are well and safe. Please, check in as soon as you can once the storms have passed!

Welcome back. I think we all have been anxiously waiting to resume cruising again and wondering what changes will be in place.

The 130 is in Death Valley. I'm over the hill from Los Angeles in the San Fernando Valley. It is now 2:00 AM and it has cooled down to a bone chilling 77. On Tuesday we are predicted to hit 104 in my neighborhood. My brother lives in the next valley over and they will be about 110.

If not for Covid, I'd head up to central CA coast and stay a few nights in Morro Bay, but why bother when I could not do much there, no dinners out and Hearst Castle tours closed. I'd also think of a 4 night Baja cruise to beat the heat.

I never would have guessed my cruise last February would be the last time I stepped foot on the Carnival Imagination. The ship was old but was clean and in great shape. I like the Fantasy Class ships, perfect size for the 3 or 4 night getaway. We had two of them in Long Beach year round for the short Baja party cruises. One has been scrapped and the other taken out of use but no word of it being scrapped yet. Sad to see old friends be scrapped.
