Have a great vacation. Just being near the water helps.

Not a cruise, but we’re heading to Cancun in a few hours for a stay at an all-inclusive resort! Big Smile

I Like the Carnival Paradise, I was on her back in 2009. She was the first Carnival ship I went on and changed my opinion of Carnival. Now I have done 9 cruises with Carnival and will do more once this pandemic is over. I like the Fantasy Class ships better then some of the new ships. They are more of a cruise ship then a floating amusement park. The first ship I was on was only about 38K GT so to me the Fantasy Class are good size ships at about 70K GT.

Feeling a bit nostalgic. I decided to look at my scrapbook from 2000 and post pictures from our first Carnival Paradise cruise. They are up, if you're interested. The ship was non-smoking and we met some wonderful people. Our ports of call were Cozumel, Grand Cayman and Ocho Rios. While we have been back to all these places, somehow the first visit is the most memorable. While we have changed a lot in 20 years, Tulum probably hasn't. It's a good day to look back at all the places we have been able to visit. Hope we are back on the sea again soon!

It is very sad, but 2 of the ships from Long Beach have been Scrapped. A sad ending to the Carnival Imagination and the Carnival Inspiration. From what I understand Long Beach will keep the Carnival Panorama for 7 night cruises to the Mexico and we will get the new Carnival Radiance (the redone Carnival Victory) for the 3 and 4 night Baja cruises. I had also heard that Princess will move 2 ships to CA in 2021 and 2022, Los Angeles and San Francisco to do 14 night cruises to Hawaii and 14 nights to Alaska.

I had just been on the Imagination in Feb 2020 and thought she looked to be in great shape. I have always liked the Fantasy Class ships, they are the perfect size for the 3 or 4 night cruises IMHO. The Victory was great when I was on her in 2015 but she did need an upgrade to get a Steak House.

I will give the Radiance a try when she moves to Long Beach and I'm looking forward to having Princess ships local. The 14 night to Hawaii and back sounds great as does the 14 night to Alaska and back so I can cruise Alaska and no flying needed since I live in Los Angeles.

Happy here in Long Beach, keeping an eye out for when our ship will be back home here. So looking forward to cruising again. I have to wait until April, but I now have something to look forward to.

Now that's a celebration I can get behind!

Happy Canadian Beer Day!

A day to thank and celebrate all of our local and craft brewers who have helped us cope with the lack of ability to enjoy a cruise.

Thank you! It's been a fun ride and I'm looking forward to the next installment.Love

Happy cruise-iversary!
