Where is everyone?

We had another cold day yesterday... I'm not sure it ever got above 50F. We froze from the tip of our noses to our toes and things in between. Thank goodness it was dress rehearsal as many of the cast were wearing sweatshirts, regular jackets, etc. over their costumes. That just won't do when we have visitors to the Festival. Even those of us seasoned cast members were cold despite having prepared properly (evidently not quite enough).

You might just need to hop one of those ships heading for Alaska

Summer has hit in Los Angeles, today in the valley it 100 today with humidity at about 40%. Of course the first hot day the A/C unit went out in one of the rental units so in the main heat I was out changing a A/C unit. I can not let a tenant go without A/C in this heat. The tenant is very happy with a new A/C unit with all the modern toys that her old one did not have.

At 11:00 PM it is still in the 70's....... time to think of going to a cool place for a few days or a week...... maybe another road trip up to Morro Bay ????

Any excuse to eat!! Unfortunately, if I did that I'd never fit into my court gown.

Dress rehearsal #1 went OK, but there are a few things we really need to work on before next weekend.

And we wondered why they were building ships bigger and bigger!! (yuk yuk)

Ahh the beginning of the food festival season. This weekend is the Greek food festival here and next weekend is the international food festival. In 3 weeks starts all of the rib fests with one within an hours drive of us every weekend from mid June till the end of September.

I hope the weather isn't too hot for you to be in your garb!! It is down here.. woo wee. I am glad our Ren Fest is in the "Fall"..weather is a gamble but at least one weekend out of the bunch is usually good.

Thanks for the welcome home, guys! I am certainly ready to don the 16th Century clothing this weekend for dress rehearsal. The trip made my mind race and I was very good and avoided using my pitiful "English accent" while there. I did listen carefully, however, in hopes to improve during the Summer.
