Having started cruising with Royal and having cruised on most of the standard lines......... Nothing wrong with Carnival. They put out a good product for the price. I like some things on Carnival better then on RCI. Carnival has the Comedy Club and the Serenity. My last RCI cruise the food was not all that great (It was a new menu set for the English taste as the ship was moving to London that cruise.) I have found Carnival to have pretty good food in the MDR (IMHO better then my last RCi and better then all 3 of my NCL cruises, they also have better service in the MDR then NCL)

You can try other lines but I did not notice a big difference until I went on Celebrity and HAL. Those are premium lines have different levels of service, ships and food. They also get different demographics and are not "The Fun Ships". I'm still a couple decades to young to cruise HAL Celebrity is awesome but not as fun as Carnival.

Back to the subject....... about 80 degrees and sunny in Los Angeles with some wind, sitting on the sofa lurking.

Dang it! I was going to ask that other fella that question.

When we are talking Royal, we mean the Royal Princess not RCL btw ....

90 is a good long life. He was a very funny man!

That's what I've done and I see that RCL is almost a grand more for the same itinerary. I'd like to try it but cannot justifynthe cost.

I stay with Carnival because of cost. I do search the other lines hoping that I can find a lower cost.

I've yet to book on RCL. Balconies are several hundred dollars more then CCL

I agree. Better than a good day at work.

Even a crappy cruise will be great, but I am sure the Royal will be awesome!

I lived on the Royal for 3 back-to-back cruises in November 2016 and had done a 10 day on her in April 2016! Beautiful ship! Have a wonderful time!
