Allure of the Seas overview

Accommodating up to 6,780 passengers, Allure of the Seas was once the largest ship in the world, only losing its title in 2015 to its sister ship, Harmony of the Seas. With a plethora of activities from zip lines, surf simulators and rock-climbing walls to Broadway-style shows in the Amber Theater and high-diving acts in the AquaTheater, Allure appeals to all kinds of travelers.

This massive, Oasis-class cruise ship is divided into seven neighborhoods for easier navigation. Each neighborhood has its own distinct theme, from the Boardwalk, a Coney Island-inspired stretch where passengers can ride a handcrafted carousel or enjoy delicious self-serve donuts, to Central Park, an onboard green space with upscale boutiques and restaurants, each neighborhood has a distinct flavor. And speaking of flavors, there’s no shortage of dining options on Allure, with choices ranging from casual buffets and New York-style food trucks to elegant steakhouses and sushi bars.

Allure of the Seas is one of the most decorated cruise ships currently sailing, and one of the most highly-rated Royal Caribbean ships on Cruiseline.com. In 2019, Allure of the Seas placed a close second to its sister ship, Symphony of the Seas, in Cruiseline.com’s overall Best Ship category. It also took home Cruiseline.com’s Members’ Choice Awards for Best Entertainment and Best Onboard Activities in 2018. Among its other honors, the ship has won Travel Weekly’s Readers’ Choice Award for Best Individual Cruise Ship in 2016 and travAlliancemedia’s Travvy Award for Best Large Cruise Ship in 2017.

Allure of the Seas' offers include cruises to the Caribbean and Mediterranean depending on the season, and Caribbean cruises include a stop at Labadee, Haiti, Royal Caribbean’s top-rated private destination - Perfect Day at Coco Cay. The ship currently sails from Miami, Fort Lauderdale, and Barcelona.

Central Park has a great cafe that during lunch allows you to make your own salad. I wish I would have known this earlier. It is also not nearly as crowded as other places on the ship.

Use the interactive touch screens on the ship on each deck to find your way around. Interactive TV in the stateroom is very helpful, You can even order room service. The windjammer don't do omelet's, try Johnny Rockets or the Wipe out café. Go to all the shows , Blue Planet was awesome.
