This was our 50th cruise, there is a noticeable difference in service and entertainment since the return to sailing.

A good trip but some disappointment with slow service due to lack of staff.

NCL needs to take responsibility for this ship, sail on it, FIX IT! Have been on other ships in the same top cabins....they should be ashamed of the HAVEN on the Gem!

This was my 5th cruise with Norwegian and by far the worst I have experienced.

The overall experience was great, the weather was nice, warm, not too hot, no rainy. Sailing through the Panama Canal is must have for lifetime. Highly recommended.

It felt like NCL was not ready for the cruise new staff new entertainers glitchy systems, etc

If you are expecting anything that resembles luxury, this is not the cruise line for you. We found that the entire experience seemed catered toward a crowd that thinks heavy drinking is the highlight of the day. While the ship itself is very nice, the on-board experiences left much to be desired.

Was very unhappy and extremely disapointed with this cruise. Have been on Carnival, Royal Carribean, and Disney and they were beyond wonderful. Total waste of money and very upset with the experience of Norweigan.

Great times, not crowded, good food and clean. What else to ask for.

There seems to be a disconnect between the level of service offered and the ability to provide that service. The staff seems over-worked and is not thoroughly trained to offer proper service at the level that is expected when one pays thousands of dollars for a short cruise. The entertainment was so far below the standard, that is was truly embarrassing. Attention to detail, proper training and deep examination of the entertainment program would certainly help bring this experience up to an acceptable level. However, we feel that this will take some time and will be spending our travel dollars with other companies for the foreseeable future.

We were extremely disappointed with Guest services and their efforts as to help with our situation. We were taking this cruise in memory of a recently deceased loved one and there was no effort made to make arrangements for the disbursement of her ashes when requested . I completely understand that there are rules and procedures for such events, however when we contacted guest services there was no distinctive effort made to accommodate this very special request.

Internet wasn’t working had to ask for a refund Pools were closed and thermal spa was overcrowded had to argue for a refund Had to ask 3 seperate occasions for the water package I preordered finally getting it on day 3 Stateroom door was broken Bathroom door wouldn’t stay shut All entertainment was canceled except for 1 show which occurred when we had our specialty dining reservations and we couldn’t change it. Recreation staff were great Steward was great Casino staff was great Ship was clean except for the common area bathrooms

Great cruise. Everyone was awesome. Service was great with a smile. Will do it again

Overall our cruise experience was delightful! We had an excellent time. The few disappointments stood out, but didn't ruin the overall experience. Though I would like more clarity to the double charge for one of the specialty restaurants soon.

I have never been so disappointed by a Norwegian cruise. The lack of care and concern about the issues was incredibly disheartening.

overall you get what you paid for, the service was average

could not get credit for the free cruise we won on the last sailing of the getaway out of new York in 2020. may not do Norwegian anymore

NEVER AGAIN We have this ship booked for February and are trying to transfer to another ship. We are frequent Sapphire guests on NCL and have loved the Gem before, but it is time to get her a facelift and staff her appropriately. They can sell her but will continue to get bad reviews for the ship and the company. we heard them all over the ship. Very disappointing cruise!

Terrible Embarkation. Great Ship Experience. In the future I would avoid the Greek Ports, the costs of souvenirs was double than Italy/Montenegro & Croatia. For a senior citizen, to much climbing steps and mountains not disclosed in the excursion details.
