This was my 5th cruise with Norwegian and by far the worst I have experienced.
Embarkation
4 out of 5
Long lines per usual but not a very long wait
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
2 out of 5
Main dining rooms were not really advertised to the people on board and were quite often empty...Buffet was very often cold/Luke warm and bland in flavor....Specialty restaurants were great but you get what you pay for!
Onboard Activities
1 out of 5
Things were overbooked and understaffed the entire cruise. I paid for the Arcade package for my son and was shocked that the games that were included were all broken and out of service midway through our trip
Entertainment
1 out of 5
The shows were unappealing and the comedy show was very vulgar!
Children's Programs
1 out of 5
The space was limited, the 7 crew members were stretched way to thin and they were very often at max capacity
Service and Staff
2 out of 5
Not enough staff to go around.
Ship Quality
2 out of 5
Layout created confusion...again there wasn't enough staff for the people onboard
Cabin / Stateroom
3 out of 5
The beds were extremely uncomfortable and the Steward never changed our bedding he simply remade the bed daily. Towels were only changed after I placed them all on the floor in the bathroom in a pile.
Ship tip
Make sure to try all of the Complimentary restaurants! Don't get stuck on the buffet carousel
Sorry, NCL did not meet your needs. It is one of our favorite lines. We much prefer it to Royal, Carnival, and Princess. We have been on the Gem 3 times.
What is great about cruising with so many option, there is a great option for every preference.
I've never seen my sheets replaced on sailings. Only had the bed made daily and that was enough. Were you soiling the sheets or something to make them need changing?! Sorry you didn't enjoy your cruise.
They don’t overbook, that would mean people getting left behind. Every ship and hotel for that matter replaces towels when you leave them on the floor, and I don’t know if any that replace sheets more then every few days unless you specifically ask. They all try and be environmentally friendly when it comes to doing excessive laundry.
