Because of the size of the ship, be prepared to book restaurants and shows early or else you get shut out.

On one night while "at sea," the cast of Burn the Floor put on a show in one of the Main Dining Rooms. If you can get a table by the dancefloor on this night at this time, you'll get the best show of the week.

Don't waste good money at the Garden cafe, you can get that food anywhere and it's packed.... but the sit down breakfast, lunch and dinners are so much nicer. However, if you are in a rush on island days you may want to tell them that.

You can get breakfast and lunch in the specialty restaurants at no extra charge (mini buffet, etc). We didn't find that out until half way through our cruise.

Be careful they changed my cabin and moved us away from the rest of our families cabins....and we went to guest services to complain they blamed our travel agent! We had our documentation to PROVE mistake was made by cruise staff and they said nothing could be done once on ship!!!!!!!

If you want to get in the pool you need to go first thing in the morning. Also the ship has a policy that the pool chairs can only be "reserved" by placing items on them for an hour without being used. So if you cant find a seat move the stuff that has been UNFAIRLY sitting in the chairs all day!

Try the noodle bar . Everything is good! But go at the beginning of the cruise. If you wait until day 6 or 7 the wait time is long.

No matter what you choose to do on board the ship you will have so much fun. There are plenty of things to do, the food is excellent and they have great sales going on during your trip. The workers on board the ship were very nice and friendly and helpful. We loved being on the Norwegian Breakaway

Review the weekly entertainment options on the ship the first day. Beware of disappointment in the main dining room and up charges when using the drink package.

Take advantage of as much as possible, you will regret missing some of the fun parties the ship will have to offer and try to do at least one of the specialty dining restaurants. I know you have to pay extra for it if it's not one of the free offers but it's worth doing and take lots of pictures.

Book specialty restaurants and shows as soon as you are able to online months before departure. All the restaurants are amazing (breakfast, lunch and supper). If you have an aversion to cigarette smoke, smoking on the casino floor (which is an open floor) is permitted;better ventilation is needed
