The goal of our trip was to experience a cruise and rest.
Had we booked according to destination and itinerary, we would have been greatly disappointed.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
We didn't purchase the beverage package and it was challenging to get a drink (water, juice, coffee and tea) because the bars did not serve us (although they had the drinks); We had to go into a restaurant and wait to be served a drink. Also, non alcoholic drinks are not served at the casino tables - they will only serve alcoholic drinks if playing at the casino tables; very inconvenient.
Onboard Activities
3 out of 5
Entertainment
1 out of 5
There were a few shows and were repeated throughout the week. For such a large ship )and apparently full) there should have been a different show offered every night. The entertainment that was offered, was great.
Children's Programs
3 out of 5
I noticed that the arcade and bowling were available - but at a fee. For a family with three children, this would be great added cost. Not encouraged to bring the children on a trip like this.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
All service (room stewards to hostesses were gracious and did a very fine job.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
Our cabin was comfortable and we didn't feel too much movement on the water. Great location on the ship. Very happy we had a balcony as the sun decks are extremely crowded.
Ship tip
Book specialty restaurants and shows as soon as you are able to online months before departure.
All the restaurants are amazing (breakfast, lunch and supper).
If you have an aversion to cigarette smoke, smoking on the casino floor (which is an open floor) is permitted;better ventilation is needed
Extremely disappointed that this part of the trip was cancelled. Renovations began months before our departure date - this should have been disclosed when booking the trip. Norwegian should have compensated the passengers for those wishing to go to a beach instead of advertising beach excursions at a fee. Not impressed with the manner in which this was played out.
