Never will cruise again on norwegian. Overpriced and very lack luster

in a nutshell i was beyond dissapointed. we had been looking forward to this vacation close to a year. There were 11 of us in my party and not a single one of us felt " happy " to be there. The staff did not treat us well. It lacked enterinment ( shows). The restaurant had such long lines regardless of the time that you went that it made it eat the same buffet food. No food variety between one day and the next. No pools ( exept for the main pool) which had to be emptied twice.

We probably won't do NCL again. We had average expectations, as we hadn't cruised in awhile. (This was my birthday trip). The entertainment was good, venues were small. The drinks were good. Poolside entertainment was poor. It was stressful when mealtime came and we had to worry about food being hot. We think we might try Princess or Celebrity next time.

Staff were awesome. Housekeeping, food staff, wait staff, cruise directors, crew, etc. all hard workers. Specialty dining 50/50 shot a good food and overpriced but buffet great. Bar areas and common areas overly congested. The only place to go to get away from the overwhelming sound of people was your room. Who wants to stay in your room? Activity schedules need tweaking. Excursions were not as described and disappointing. More photographers needed to help capture events only came across one photographer. Definitely a party atmosphere not relaxing. If I give the cruise a score it would be 5.5 out of 10.

This was a girls trip and my daughter and I had a great time. We purchased the passes to the Vibe Beach Club and were very happy we did. The waitstaff is phenomenal and we met some great people there. If you're looking to be in the pool a lot, be prepared to get there at the crack of dawn. It was always packed. We didn't get to the pool until the last day when everyone was at the private island. But we knew that going into the trip and it didn't bother us.

This was our first cruise with NCL Breakaway on May 19, 2024 to the Carribbean. and it was a very good experience. There was quality food, service, show and entertainment. A couple of complaints, NCL canceled one leg of our cruise, the Tortola Port without offering another port. NCL did offer a $50 on-board credit (each) and an extended stay of 4 hours on Great Stirrup Cay for this cancellation, which was not enough. Our canceled tour on Tortola cost over $100. NCL did refund the cost of our tour on Tortola. However, we may never have another opportunity to visit Tortola again. NCL blamed the cancellation of the Tortola Port on fuel optimization and their commitment to the environment and sustainability. They knew that fuel would be consumed before they advertised the cruise itinerary and the four ports. Not a very good reason to cancel the Tortola Port visit. NCL also canceled the on-board musical show ‘Six', for our cruise without offering another show. We purchased the opportunity to see two on-board shows, not just one. We understand that things are subject to change, however the items above were big deals for us and NCL should have offered an alternate port and the additional show. With the loss of the above items, we would have chosen a different cruise line. The above actions taken by NCL, without replacement of the items, has left a bitter taste in our mouths. We hope this is not a pattern with NCL. We will sail with NCL again however, for our next cruise we will review other cruise lines.

Firth time on Norwegian cruise line and both my husband and I really enjoyed it. Wish you had shipd sailing out of Norfolk Virginia. We would definitely book another cruise in the future.

I booked this cruise as a birthday getaway - booze cruise. Overall the cruise was a blast. My only compliant is a bit too many people pool side which made it very difficult to enjoy it. If you are looking for a nice short getaway, I would suggest this itinerary and cruise line.

Embarkation and debarkation were excellent. Food freshness at restaurants could be better, buffet on top deck was good. pools and restaurants closed way to early on top deck, should have stayed open till midnight. Only one restaurant open below deck after 9 pm, disappointing.

The cruise was alot of fun. It was a sister trip and we had a blast. The main issue was the system kept mixing up our cards and pictures. I would scan my card and her picture would come up. we would get it fixed and it would be messed up again the next day

I was really disappointed in this cruise that I booked for my 60th Birthday with my Family. They were not impressed with NCL and this sailing did not give me any backup support to encourage them to sail with them again. I sail on NCL because of the solo travelers program and cabin offers but if I have this same experience again I will reconsider using NCL,

Overall the ship, the food, and the service was just ok. But great weather and good friends made for a nice week away.

This cruise already wasted enough of my money and time. You know what you did wrong because we complained enough and you didn't care.

Save your money and your sanity. Basically spring break at sea with bad food, bad service and no toilet in stateroom. Nickel and dimed. Loud, crowded. I did an NCL cruise to Bermuda in 2013 and did not have the horrible experience I had this time around (2024). Ports of call were decent and weather was great but other than that, nothing good to say.

This was our first time in the NCL Haven. It was an experience like no other on a cruise ship. The service was above and beyond what is expected and the food and drinks were great. It was nice to have a quiet place away from the rest of the ship, although you could always enjoy these activities any time you wished. Really a different way to travel. We will be doing this again.

All in all, we had a nice time. The Breakaway is a large ship and crowd management is important to the overall experience. The chair saving by the poor continues to be a problem leaving many chairs empty for extended periods of time with many people unable to fing a seat.

This was only my second cruise on Norwegian and I did sign up for the cruise next package that will give us a discount on future cruises. I would suggest that you research the ship prior to going on this or any cruises.

Cruise was worth the money spent. I enjoyed myself and looking forward to doing it again

My overall review is simple. We joined this cruise to attend a cousins 30th birthday celebration. I also traveled with a first time cruiser and what I have experienced on past cruise ships is not what I experience on this cruise NCL/breakaway. The cruise staff were thin and rushed which made the service we received feel cold and rushed or forgotten about. The breakaway ship was clean and put together well but as you looked closer throughout the week areas and items were worn and needed replacing or fixed (couches, tables etc). Time spent on the islands were just not enough specifically I am referring to st thomas and ncl's own island. Would I go on a cruise again YES in a heart beat (we had a blast) :) but I would look closer at the cruise line/ship first.

We enjoy Norwegian other than toilet not working. Big inconvenience.
