Review summary

We have cruised 10 times and this by far was the worst cruise we have taken. The cruise was changed. Times in port were changed and excursion times were changed. We always felt special and it was truly a luxury experience on all of our cruises! This cruise missed this mark, sadly.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Smooth and very fast boarding

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
Main dining rooms had same menu for entire week. Food in dining room was the worst we have ever had on a cruise. The specialty dining rooms were excellent and the buffet was very good.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
Lots of games and games shows. Did not use pools, rock climbing walls and fitness centers.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
Musicians/DJs were average and stage shows were very good. Comedians were average.

Service and Staff

3 out of 5
The waiters in the dining rooms were very good. Our room steward was curt and don’t want to bother with us. He told us he was very busy. 😳 We just asked for ice. Never have we been told that on ANY cruise. No turn down service! No captains dinner or meet and greet with captain?!

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
ship was clean but older. A lot of windows are permanently fogged so u can’t see out to water.

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
Large room, comfy bed with nice linens! Cleanliness ok…Balcony was dirty with flaky paint all over floor. They cleaned balconies above us on outside but not ours and drenched our balcony (and almost us because we had to run inside) Our balcony had a spot where the water ran into it. Only two electrical outlets in the room and the plugs wouldn’t stay plugged in because it was old… Also, our safe was broken.

Ship tip

I wouldn’t recommend

Ports of call

New York, New York

Newport, Rhode Island

The ship arrived at Newport at 7am and last tender at 230. This time was changed! We had an excursion that needed at 3pm….Shops didn’t open until 10 so therefore we had 4 1/2 hours on this port!

Portland, Maine

Boston, Massachusetts

We had a excursion booked for 10:30 and ship decided to change it to 8am!!! it was so very cold and was a walking tour….

Saint John, New Brunswick

Just walked around town. We had been here before so we didn’t go on any excursions! Again changed times for port so couldn’t do much.

Halifax, Nova Scotia

2 out of 5
The port was fine…The ships changed our time to arrive at port to 3pm-11pm. Couldn’t go to museum we wanted to visit because by the time we would have arrived it would have been closed!

Disembarkation

Horrible!! Free for all!! no organization!
