Review summary

We loved all the food and drink and entertainment. The staff was perfect and friendly and helpful. The ship disappointed in that the huge water slide was never open, the smaller ones were barely open and the water in both the pools and hot tubs was barely warm. We did not enjoy that part of the ship much. The ports were another issue. One port in Maine cancelled right before trip and we were not happy about that. Wanted to see Acadia Natl. Park. The other trips were okay, but some we barely had time due to changes in scheduling.

Embarkation

Very well thought out. Good experience.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
All of the food and drink were top notch. We ate in a variety of places and all were exceptional. The various bars served very good drinks.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
We were disappointed. The pools were not warm at all. We thought they would be heated more. The hot tubs were lukewarm at best. The water slide was barely open. When my husband wanted to do the scariest one, it was NEVER open. That was truly disappointing.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
All of the entertainers were very good. We thought the various shows and performances and comedians were all great!

Children's Programs

We did not bring children.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
All of the staff were top notch. Very accommodating and nice. All friendly and helpful. Kudos on having wonderful workers and staff.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
The ship was very well-maintained and clean. We appreciated that.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Cabin and care of our cabin was excellent.

Ship tip

It has fun things to do (it seems) from the advertisement, but many will either not be open, and the pools and hot tubs are really unusable for a fall cruise.

Ports of call

Newport, Rhode Island

Portland, Maine

Boston, Massachusetts

3 out of 5
We did not want to visit Boston as we've been there several times. The reason we took the cruise was partly to see Maine, and one of the stops in Maine was cancelled. Very disappointing.

Saint John, New Brunswick

3 out of 5
A bit boring here.

Halifax, Nova Scotia

3 out of 5
Not enough time here due to ship changing schedule. Disappointing.

Disembarkation

4 out of 5
It was fine.
