Review summary

Always sail NCL. It's easy, very casual and laid back. Freestyle dining is the way to go.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Main restaurants and buffets were above average. Specialty restaurants were outstanding. Cagney's is a must

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
Great variety of activities

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Sydney Norman's stole the show. Rock band based in a small venue. Musicians were very talented! Worth waiting on line for

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
I'm a frequent cruiser and this overall staff was excellent. Very attentive and prompt with my requests

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
Lay out and design was fine. The Breakaway was updated in 2023 but didn't look like it was updated at all since 2013. Expect to see rust all around the ship, chipped paint and excessive wear and tear for a 1 yr old update. NCL needs to be better at that!

Cabin / Stateroom

1 out of 5
Chose this cabin because of the angled balcony that can accommodate a lounge chair.

Ship tip

Have fun. The people and staff make the trip!

I think drydock for refurbishment is actually scheduled for February 2025 if I am not mistaken. Thanks for the review. Just booked a 12 day Carib itinerary for 2026.
