Review summary

The Breakaway is a beautiful ship. Except for the small pool, the layout is excellent. It is well maintained and the staff is friendly. Bermuda is safe, clean, and has the most beautiful beaches I have seen anywhere. Bring or rent a mask and snorkel. Don't go before, during, or after a tropical storm or hurricane. They won't tell you about sea conditions until the boat has left the port!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

1 out of 5
The main dining room serves sub par food compared to other cruise lines. Dinner is one of the most important events for our cruise party. The breakfast/lunch buffet was good.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
For a cruise ship the entertainment in the theater was good for a change. I enjoyed the jazz club and a piano bar as well. More musical entertainment by the pool would be nice.

Service and Staff

3 out of 5
The service and staff were very good except for the slow service in the dining room.

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
The cabin is very well designed. Everything in the cabin looked clean and new. I found it a little small compared to other ships i have been on. Many cabin deck hallways were too narrow for two people to travel side by side.

Ship tip

Review the weekly entertainment options on the ship the first day. Beware of disappointment in the main dining room and up charges when using the drink package.
