Review summary

In August 2016 we took the Breakaway on a cruise from New York City to Bermuda.  Booking through BJ's was a breeze, we got great rates and even gift cards to the store!  The cruise ship itself was gorgeous and had a lot of amenities however it felt over crowded especially in the pool areas.  On a seven day cruise we actually never got in a pool and didn't even get to sit in a chair around the pool as it was so packed.  We could have taken this opportunity while in Bermuda however we would rather spend time exploring the destination.  There was a private pool we could have had access to by paying a fee but by the time we learned about the pool area it was already sold out.

I think next time we would pay the higher rates to have a suite with more room or a Haven.

Ship tip

If you want to get in the pool you need to go first thing in the morning. Also the ship has a policy that the pool chairs can only be "reserved" by placing items on them for an hour without being used. So if you cant find a seat move the stuff that has been UNFAIRLY sitting in the chairs all day!

The spa has a wave pool and jacuzzi. Heated chairs (which can be occupied often, sometimes with just a towel), and regular chairs which are usually available. There's also a sauna, steam room, and a salt room, which I'm not sure what it did. Unfortunately, there is no bar. Just teas and lemon water. But no kids, which I loved. They only sell 200 passes, so buy online beforehand.

No pool at Vibe. H2O was a good spot for us. Never had a problem getting chairs and the waterfall instead of pool was fine for us.

Do you know the price for the vibe? Is it adults only?

It's called the Vibe area. So worthwhile if you can get in. You need to go to the concierge immediately when you board.
