If you're going to drink, get the all inclusive package right away. My husband did, and I didn't, and I spent almost as much as he did, and had to worry about it.

Do not count on port calls. We could have sailed, captain used winds as excuse (all other ships left port during same winds). Only ports I have missed have been on the Emerald, including five years in the U.S. Navy.

Don't lose your specialty coffee card as we did, because they won't do anything about it even if you know how many you had left. We lost out on 8 specialty coffees, our little treat to ourselves ended up being a disappointment.

Be aware that there are formal nights. I am retired and on principle am not wearing a tie on a vacation, that limited me to secondary venues and I was not happy about that. If you pick anytime dining you can end up sharing tables and being in off hours, they really want assigned tables and dining.

Would suggest wheel chairs at the bottom entrance to go through the security line, it was horrible for me because of back and knee issues. And also chairs when we leave the ship.
