Review summary

we thoroughly enjoyed our eight-day vacation cruise aboard the Emerald Princess. The seas were a bit rough on the way down to our island destinations and the wind was really blowing against the ship but we had a great time and the sun was out enough for all of us to enjoy it. The days at sea were great, the most we have ever had, and e found lots of family activities to do on board that filled our days with smiles and laughter.

The on-board crew was terriffic and we enjoyed the comedian, the juggler and the cruise staff's work with trivia and bingo everyday.

Food was great along with the wonderful service provided by our wait staff, Disppointed there was not a lobster night. Head Waiter Luis was super attentive and a great asset throughout our trip.

Ship is starting to show its age even though it was coming out of dry dock. New restaurannts were interesting but carpet is showing wear and hallways are starting to smell musty.

Cabin / Stateroom

Cabin size was bigger then we are use too which was a nice change but we didn't make much use of the balcony although it was nice that it was there. Had multiple plumbing problems with no hot water and no working toilet first two days. Items were fixed but were told this particular part of the ship is notorious for plumbing issues. Notices musty smell in hallways in some areas of ship.

Ship tip

Great ship. We have been on it many times over the years, Crew is excellent. Starting to show its age in some areas.

The problems are very real. Friends of 40 years were on the last cruise and sent me texts about all the poo problems. They are on contact with local press to do an on-air story.

we have tried contacting princess twice and can't get anyone to acknowledge there ever was a problem. they should read reviews and social media posts. we normally dont take reviews seriously but these problems concern us

hi we sail feb 6 and hope they have fixed the ac and water problems. did you experience these problems? if you liked your cabin can we ask what cabin number and deck you were on? Thanks for your review!
