Be prepared to shell put a a small fortune if wanting to do any excursions in Alaska. Elevators take forever to wait on and frequently full and take multiple attempts especially in the centrally located part of the ship.

Enjoy the older cruise style! It doesn't feel as rushed as pn the bigger ships! Enjoy the chill vibe!

Make sure to set a daily schedule - so much going on - you don't want to miss a thing.

If you have children of any age, you might consider one of the bigger ships with more activities for them. Kids were coonstantly running around everywhere up and down halls night and day, I think they needed some busy activities. Ship has mostly over 50 aged people on board it seemed to me.If nightly activities are not important and you don't mind smaller ship, this is the one to choose especially for Alaska.

Just go and have a great time. This was my first trip since my husband passed away a year ago. I did not know what to expect being by without him however, I was very surprised that I had such a good time, and my friend that went with me I had recently lost her spouse and we dance. And had a good time did not make me feel out of place

If it is location you are looking for and this is the ship that is has that itinerary I would go again.

If traveling to AK, do 2 weeks if you can. That way, you can do excursions and see the towns.

Set up dinner reservations in advance, be mindful of shows. Most are worth seeing.

Get a window view if possible and let the staff on board the ship spoil you to have an amazing vacation.

If you have children, don't expect a lot of activities for them.

Nicely maintained older ship. We had a small breakout of GI issues but staff was proactive and immediately implemented additional cleaning and service procedures.

If you're sailing to Alaska in July, and you have a window, make sure you close your curtains when you go to bed, because that sunrise at 415am is like God's Flashlight!
