Review summary

Glad we planned all the excursions, we avoided all the main drags with their touristy shops and went straight out to the wilderness, water, flora and fauna.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
We enjoyed the main dining room as well as each of the specialty restaurants - our first time at Samba - and even the buffet. As always, the quality was wonderful.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
Fitness center team was exceptionally great - Isa and Erick had the best stretch, abs, and every other class I've had on any RCCL ship.

Entertainment

Very enjoyable!

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
As always, from room stewards to bartenders; everyone was fantastic.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
We love smaller ships; and the ship never, ever felt crowded. There were so many spots to lounge and relax without crowds.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
The cabin was the usual size, with the elongated aft balcony with 180 degree-plus views of the spectacular scenery. Plus, we were never cold with wind while underway.

Ship tip

Don't forget to go to the helicopter pad, and don't forget to take advantage of the sauna and steam rooms.

Ports of call

Seward (Anchorage), Alaska

Bicycle tour on abandoned 49'ers mining town, then the White Pass Railway is not to be missed! Incredible views.

Icy Strait Point (Hoonah), Alaska

Whales Wildlife and Brown Bear Search - we loved the whale watching, saw one bear; were hoping for more, but it's a search, not a guarantee..

Ketchikan, Alaska

5 out of 5
The Oyster Farm coastal cruise - great opportunity to eat local oysters, look for whales, see the mountains from the water.

Incredible scenery from our aft balcony!

Vancouver (Canada Place), British Columbia

Walked to the aquarium for a wonderful day trip. Next time we will rent bikes and tour the waterfront bike paths.

It was great - because we were back-to-back and came back and did it all again!
