Take the train ride (3 hour one). Was awesome!

Skagway was my favorite port on this itinerary. We rented Jeeps at the popcorn place and drove up into Yukon and Carcross. Just gorgeous, even in the pouring rain! Stopped at the Red Onion Saloon on our way back to the ship. Really great day! Can’t wait to go back someday!

White Pass Railway is a must!!! Incredible views. We rode the train up just over the Canadian border and our shuttle driver picked us up there and drove us back down. They stop and let you take pics on the way down. This is a good one all ages would enjoy.

Besides Victoria, this was my favorite stop. I understand that the train can be cool but I think we got a much better value by renting a jeep from DIY rentals and driving into the Yukon. We had the whole day, could stop whenever we wanted, could go farther and it was less than half of what the train would have cost us. Saw a couple of black bears at Emerald Lake and crossed paths with a momma and baby moose. Skagway has a beautiful waterfront area and the locals were very friendly.
