Q: With Skagway having the rockslide was any of the excursions or the port stay cut short.

A: We went last year, the answer was "not at all". Only a slight delay since we actually docked and then tendered around to clear the closed off area. Other ships were docked right next to the town.

A: Leaving out of Frisco on May 29. Haven’t heard of any changes in Skagway as of this date for our cruise but do expect one.

A: Our Skagway stop was cancelled along with our excursion due to damage to the dock from a landslide. We are stopping at Icy Strait Point instead. Our cruise is May 22.

A: The area where the rockslides occur only affects the one dock, so this pretty much just blocks the ability for two ships to dock.

A: Royal Caribbean, Quantum of the Seas, canceled our stop in Skagway and refunded our money for excursions we had booked. We're stopping in Ketchican instead.

Q: Two weeks away ….. and Celebrity has cancelled the White Pass Railway excursion we booked!!!! Due to Canada’s enhanced boarder. This trip was my dream!!! What else can we do??

A: There's the To The Klondike Summit, Skagway tours, Gold Panning, Sled Dog Experiences, Nature & Wildlife Expedition, Horseback Riding, Kayak, etc...Go to the Viator website they have lots of different types of excursions.

A: You can book the Summit route direct with the railroad. Depending on which day you are in port you may be able to use 2 for 1 coupon from Alaska Tour Saver. Would save roughly $100 if it works for you, but is very limited.

A: Check with your cruise line as they may have a similar excursion that doesn’t cross the Canadian border.

A: you should be able to do the train portion? We have the train round trip booked for our cruise. It's only the crossing into Canada that is the issue. it explains it on the trains website.

A: we had the White Pass & Yukon Adventure booked however once it was canceled we replaced it with the White Pass & Skagway highlights.

A: I would recommend the White Pass railway and Bus Coach Tour. We did the Railway only in September, but the original booking included both. It was a beautiful trip. The return bus allows for short stops for photos. The entire trip was very well narrat... ed.See More

A: Really depends on what you like to do and see. Skagway is wonderful town full of history and almost anything you can think of to do. if looking for adventure and nature check out excursions in Haines. Though there are some in Skagway. A hike up t... he Chilkoot trail or up to lower and upper Ried falls is equally beautiful. (unlikely able to do both in same day. for the train, the summit is nice but the Bennet Scenic is better and takes you to places you can only get to by train or on foot. You can rent a car and drive up to Canada or just stroll around downtown. check out the national park website for other things to see and do.See More

A: Go into Red Onion. Give Barman lots of dollars, in return he gives you lots of Lager. Continue until you run out of money or you fall down. You can always watch the scenery on YouTube. 🤣🤣🤣

A: We love to rent a jeep. The highway to the Yukon is one of the most beautiful drives. At Emerald Lake turn around and come back to Skagway. They pack a lunch for you and we had plenty of time to explore Skagway.Take your passport to enter Canada!
