If travel without kids then the experience on this ship would be different.

Our first NCL cruise, had some hiccups, long wait line at embarking, moderate rough seas on way to first destination. Overall food was good both in restaurants and buffets. Staff was quite friendly at all times

We enjoyed Food , but getting bored in the ship because no activities

We so enjoyed our Norwegian Gem experience and would love to sail with them again in the future. We have already shared our cruise experience with our extended family and have recommended the cruise to them.

-Ship was clean, staff very pleasant -Food and drinks were all very good. -Free wifi (75) mins is a joke! After paying for additional time it took 2 days to get it working on 2 devices. Wifi was not good at all. After the “free” 75 mins flys by, they will offer you another 75 mins for 100.00. Scroll down…. They then offer unlimited for 129.00 for the rest of the trip!!! -People turning their kids loose on the boat, Another Joke! -Everything is an up charge check your cabin charges daily! You will be surprised when they charge you to clean your cabin at 18.00 PER PERSON. Go complain before the last day or you will be in a mile long line. They did refund our cabin charge. -Norfolk VA, why bother, been better just cruising around, at least the Casino would have been open. -Duty Free shopping onboard? Waste of money. Not worth the paperwork you need to fill out when you get back. They charge retail plus for everything. Nothing is “reasonably priced”. Everything is marked up to full price. - It’s not enjoyable knowing you paid thousands upfront to then be charged additional for a bunch of things you “thought” should be included….. read the FINE print!

The cruise was our first after Covid. Felt safe since cruise capacity was much smaller. Drinks were good and not more expensive than usual.

4th time on the Gem. We had a great vacation and look forward to cruising again with Norwegian in the very near future.

We really enjoyed this cruise. The ship is my favorite and the staff was wonderful.

I have been on many of cruises and never had such a windy vacation, not sure if March is always like this. The ship was very clean and awesome service on the ship. Everyone was so nice and the food was very good. My only complaint was we lost an excursion at St Thomas, we couldnt go due to ship issues and weather. I really feel we should be compensated with money back or future cruise credit.

Overall is not bad compared to the 10+ cruises we have over the last 20 years.

I’m considering to book my 2nd cruise ship…. Not sure yet if I should explore other cruise lines!

We were happy to be able to cruise again. There were only about 1100 passengers aboard so it was wonderful.The crew was outstanding!San juan was a waste as we docked at 4 pm, and they skipped StThomas but nice time at other ports.

This was a wonderful cruise experience. We have traveled on the Gem many times and enjoy the smaller more intimate atmosphere on this ship. The cruise staff was great and we met many fun and friendly people, during the course of our cruise. In fact, we are planning to cruise again in January, aboard the Getaway, with some friends that we made while onboard. Can't wait!

I cannot stress how well designed the Gem is. It just absorbs the guests and it doesn't feel crowded wherever you go. I have neve been on another ship that handles the number of guests on the ship better.

We took the chance of cruising during the virus. We were looking forward to visiting all 5 ports especially Tortola. We didn't think that we would only visit one. The captain did his best to stay in warm waters for a few days to help us to be able to take advantage of the pool. NCL was very generous to the passengers who were disappointed with the lack of visiting the ports we had paid to visit. Thank you for making a bad situation better.

Not a good experience overall Never got to visit the Bahamas private island NCL DID NOT GET THE OK FROM AUTHORITY This was our 14th cruise with Norwegian and the worst , sorry to say

I love the Gem- six times on this ship. Charleston in January- not a Great Idea. Florida was welcoming— Not getting into their own Private Island wasn’t SAD! Jasper the Cruise Director name should be “Casper”. He was only available at Show time and annoying announcements.

Overall great cruise but no Bahamas and zero stage shows. All cancelled.

Good experience as first time cruiser. Food/Restaurant department was great as they accommodated our dietary requirements very well. They can improve by offering eggless/vegan bakery items (cakes, pastries etc.) as kids couldn't enjoy the available offerings. They tried to make eggless cake but it didn't come out good
