Review summary

As always I'd prefer few ports of call and longer stays at the ones we visit. In spite of cut backs, crew still provided good to excellent service. Wish NCL would make menus for main dining room available ahead of time to make planning easier. Not NCL's fault, but the amount of rude and privileged behavior is definitely on the rise.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Quickest boarding experience in a long time.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
We had good to great meals at Le Bistro, La Cucina and Cagney's. Garden Cafe was our go to for breakfast and lunch with lots of good choices. Desserts still not up to par. Missed having late night options in the Garden Cafe.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5

Entertainment

4 out of 5
Theater shows were good to very good. House bands were disappointing compared to previous cruises.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Cabin steward was excellent. Missed second visit (turn down service) to clear away days mess.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
Ship was clean and well kept.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
No surprises a good thing. Liked the location of cabin. Not a fan of the tub.

Ship tip

Make reservations early for speciality restaurants.

the actual port in pueto plata is actually all there is to see.. probably the nicesest cruise port I've ever been too with pools, hammocks, tons of bars and restaurants and a lazy river ride.
