I would advise all future cruisers to book your excursions, shows, and dinners in advance using the web site. This will allow you to make sure that you get to all of the places you are interested in seeing and places you want to eat.

Our luggage arrived right away. We came aboard and just enjoyed ourselves and then checked into our room when they gave us notice. Our room was awesome and I highly suggest a mini-suite with a balcony! Our travel agent suggested one where the bed is close to the balcony and the layout was great!

I didn't pay attention before the cruise that there are themed events on the boat.next time I will dress accordingly. No one cared and it was still fun just will make sure I look at the itinerary ahead of time. Have fun! It's over before you know it. Enjoy ever moment.

If you are on the Epic, get a spa package, it is really worth the money and this ship had a great spa. After all the the walking and exploring on the shore excursions it was so nice to relax at the spa.

Ship is large, so safe. But buffet very disappointing so go to dining room (no extra charge unless you upgrade).; food is okay, nothing to write home about. Freestyle dining so you can go when you want to go. No assigned seating. Very surprised that captain wasn't more involved

Set low expectations, then you won't be disappointed. My mom booked a single interior room, and that seems to be very nice.

Ship's store closes in french waters. Our luggage was by our door right after we boarded. Cabins closer forward seemed to be located to the areas of the ship we frequented - Garden Cafe, Epic Theater, Bliss Lounge, Spice H2O and Headliner's. Spread out your entertainment choices for the week.

On this we did not debark at Citavecchia and Marseille. In the other places, you dont need an excursion, save your money. Norwegian tell you how to do it under your steam on the eve of each departure.

Shore excursions need to be priced reasonably. Booking seperately is way cheaper than through Norwegian. You're losing money.

NOTE!! Bring backup documentation of all your perks, excursions and anything you reserved in advance!  We had the Ultimate Beverage Drink package and when we got on the ship they didnt show that we had that perk. We went to the Guest Service Desk and they said not only do we have to prove we had it

My suggestion for people like me who don't want to follow the crowd is to download the information of each port. So with that you know what bus take, what train and safe money. I really enjoy the 7 days meals package and two bottles of wine that I drank during my dinners.

Once you figure out what's forward and what's aft, and how to get there, you're good to go. Carry a ship map.

Plan out excursions, specialty dining and shows ahead of time so you can enjoy the trip and not make endless decisions on the ship. You have to reserve seating for all shows - even free ones - do this as soon as you can.
