the ship itinery was excellent . it would show who and what going on.
my suggestion for first timers is to bring your luggage aboard with them so they can change and be comfortable and not wait till 6pm for the luggage to arrive by staff, theyre to many passenger to expect luggage to be in room.
We wish the ship would have allowed us to buy pictures at a later date online. They are very expensive and most of the time at the end of the ship you have spent all your money. We know we would have bought online at a later time if we had the opportunity to do so.
Get a room near the front, the forward elevator goes right into the buffet, and don't miss the free liquor tasting each night at 8, they give out increasingly better scotch in the liquor shop each night.
The customer service managers and the staff need more training. The morale is low. We only met one staff at the Manhattan restaurant who was cheerful. He was from Philippine on a master program for internship . Most of the staff was not well trained and was not happy.
Bring extra hangers. They have quite a few in each room but a few extra is always needed. As well, bring a closet freshener. You will know what I mean when you open the doors. Packing your bathing suit in your carry-on is a must as your suitcase will most likely not be there before supper.
Don't go for the inner rooms. No private washrooms. Everything is out in the open. Toilet is behind sliding glass doors. Hard to find the elevators on the public floors. Ship is huge and is easy to get lost for the first few days. The casino is enormous compared to other ships.
This is a huge ship with only 2 areas with elevators. Plan your travel around the ship well to minimize waiting for elevators. They are almost impossible on port days when getting off the ship and at dinner time.
When in port, get to breakfast buffet early (6-6:30am) or order room service (continental breakfast only) the night before to avoid the mob scene! Heard a lot of people complaining about what was included with the adult beverage package so be sure to check before you buy.
Explore the many venues for sunbathing to find your favourites, then go there early to get it. Book your shows before you sail, and use the box office to get into shows that you cannot book on-line. As soon as the shows in the comedy club has started you can sneak in and see it even if it's sold out
If you eat at the Garden don't stop at the first 2 lines they are always, longer. Proceed to the back, people often don't consider the outdoor bar! There's never a line.
Always tell your partner server you plan to sit otherwise you may/will get split up and its frustrating when you're hungry.
