We paid 79 dollars each for access to the Vibe Beach club. My wife said it was worth it. We could get a lounge chair anytime we wanted without fighting the crowds.

Make your specialty restaurant and entertainment reservations prior to your cruise. Time slots are probably available but might not be at the times that you would have preferred. A little foresight goes a long way.

Make reservations for dinner (the three MDRs share the same menu) or risk waiting; check out the bakery and gelato at Carlo's Bakeshop; O'Sheehan's has an ice cream sundae menu; and there's a crepe station in the Garden Cafe during dinner.

Osheehans bar is awesome for a quick lunch or snack. Make reservations for dinners and shows before you go on the ship.

People who like freestyle cruising should try it. Others should stay away, there is not any sofisticated or traditioanal element there and it certainly not a "Love Boat" but rather a floating "cirque du Soleil" .

I plan to do Carnival next time I don't feel like that they are deceptive with payment practices for things that they claim are all inclusive. Don't get me wrong It was a nice ship!! But I felt paranoid about being hit with hidden charges is there a processing and gratuities fee. It was annoying.

Just go with Carnival...maybe not as big or as glamorous, but they care about their customers. If you sail on the Breakaway, make dinner reservations and reservations for the shows BEFORE you go. A lot of the shows require reservations or you wait in a stand-by line and hope for the best to get in

A family focus ship, not the best option for adult couples wanting a relaxed vacation cruise. They "sell" packages and events seem to all come with add ons or buy this. Norwegian wants to introduce themselves to your wallet, be careful.

Book everything in advance. Ask a lot of questions and get names of staffers. Ask to speak with a manager if the staff is dismissive.

If you get a sailing when the ship is only half full and can get a great price, then it'd probably be good. But at full capacity, not recommended. Holland America is still the best; RCCL and Celebrity are solid choices.

The onboard activities were poor which left sailing days long and boring. The dining staff and room steward were all great. If you have a customer service issue be prepared to spend hours to resolve it - no one speaks English as a first language, which proved to be a real problem.

The ship is just too big and any individual touch/ service is lost! Recommended this ship for young people and/or families with teenagers.

NCL is lacking in design when it comes to adult only pool areas. The Spice H2O is adult only but there's no pool or shade there. The adult only pool is not in a separate , private area. I prefer the design on RC Adventure of the Seas with a quiet, separate adult area with pool, Jacuzzis, and shade.
