Norwegian Breakaway

Sail date: July 26, 2015

Ship: Norwegian Breakaway

Cabin type: Balcony

Cabin number: 13172

Traveled as: Singles/Friends

Review summary

the ship is more children/family geared, numerous pools , slides and water slides, however the adult pool were much , much too small for the amount  of people, and not friendly for elderly or handicapped because there were no steps into the pool, just ladders. I feel Norwegian is a penny pinching outfit , they charged $5 for a bottle of water in the room, what did they expect people to drink water from the toilet room  ? My cousin who is very handicapped loss her balance and fell in the casino, was very bruised and cut her arm, Norwegian billed her $325 for medical services.. Finally, when leaving the ship to go on excursions most cruise lines give a small bottles  of water,Norwegian charged $2.49. This line was a bit of a turnoff.

Hi you can bring water I'm going to bring it because for the price of a Boyle on the ship you could bring a case.I never was given water on any cruise they had a table set up in Bermuda before you went back on and the crew gave you a cup of water. That was in 2012 on Norwegian star. 😎

You can bring water on - can't you ? I was planning on bringing two cases. Also if insurance was purchased for the trip you should get the whole amount back.

Oh ya? I went on first cruise in 2008. Been on 4 different cruise lines but never got it free.

flipflop15    9 years ago

I remember Royal Caribbean doing that years ago

I have never had a cruise line give me a bottle of water getting off the ship before. Ive seen them selling it as you get off but never giving it away.

With all due respect, it is unfortunate that your cousin fell because she lost her balance and injured herself but you didn't indicate it was a fault of the ship so why wouldn't you expect to be charged by the medical staff for them to tend to her injuries?  This is where cruise insurance comes in. You may have to pay upfront but you will get your money back with the insurance coverage.

The part about more geared to kids depends on what time of year you go. I went last sept when kids were in school and wasn't like that at all.
