Review summary
The ship was wonderful, the staff was excellent, the food was good, and everything else that pertained to the voyage to Bermuda was all that could be expected. However, no one thought to communicate that most of the island would be closed for a cricket match between Hamilton and St George for two days.
Our plans were to arrive on the island Wednesday and take a bus trip to help determine where we would go Thursday and Friday to explore/discover the culture, local art, shop etc. When onboard it was disclosed that if you wanted to do anything “in town” you need to get it done on Wed. since the island is pretty much closed up for the cricket match which is a National Holiday??!! So we got to sit at the dock for two days; very boring. For us this was a bust. Those that wanted to go to the beach, snorkeling, diving seemed to have a good time.
