 This is the worst cruise ship ever the people were inconsiderate numerous fights on the boat teenagers running rapid banging on doors 3 o'clock in the morning going down the Corridos with a boombox at 3 AM with the music blasting was not able to get a hot breakfast lines were too long .   The port for Dominican republic was horrible don't know why the Apple pulled into that poured out when we pulled into Turks and Caicos there was another Carnival ship that was there as well which made that port overcrowded and the beach as well.   Guest services was two hour wait every time you went online it was only two kiosk and in the middle of the week somebody broke the kiosk by slamming the glass with something lack of security when we were Deembarkmenrbark  my husband got into an altercation trying to get on an elevator lack of staff to assist with embark the only good thing about this cruise was the entertainment.  I will never travel with Carnival again!!!!!

This was my 6th Carnival cruise and most disappointing.  The service on this ship was terrible.  The ship appeared understaffed.  Food took a long time to get.  I stood in the pizza line for 45 minutes during the lunch hour and you literally had to wait for the pizzas to be cooked.  This area should have ben prepared for the lunch hours and had extra pizzas made.  The formal dining room was slow and the wait staff didn't know their customers well.  On past cruises, the waiter would have your drinks waiting for you.  In regards to the cabin service, on past cruises your bed was made within minutes of you leaving the room.  On this cruise, one of the days the bed wasn't made at all.  Beds were never turned down at night.  Again, the service in the entire ship was lacking and the food was the worst I ever had on a Carnival ship.  Best part about the cruise were the ports.  I will continue to cruise in the future but doubtful it will be with Carnival.  Carnival should not be cutting service on their cruises like they did this one or they are going to lose a lot of customers.

The staff tried and our steward was accomodating. The wait staff in the Black Pearl Resturant were attentive. Cabin was adequate. We paid for a spa cabin but found the steam rooms too hot and the chairs at the wrong angles for our backs.

The service in general was poor due to lack of sufficient staff. Lines at buffet were excessive and slow and stations often had no servers although food was in back and unreachable. Dining chefs could only cook food to medium rare (which was raw) or medium well which was well done. Stewards only did room once a day instead of twice. No greeters to encourage hand sanitizers at buffet.

Entertainment was marginal, casino smoky and in general the crowd onboard was rude and loud.

Our favorite experience on the cruise was interacting with the Pixel Team (Agus and Iuliana) and receiving great service from Jonard (Our Stateroom Steward). One thing that could have been better is the laundry room on the Lido Deck. There was only one washer during the entire Cruise. I would absolutely recommend this Cruise Ship to anyone.

I thought the service was quite good, the ship was clean and well cared for. Meals were good and evening entertainment was as well. Pools overcrowded, but I guess can be expected for 3,000 passengers. Nice areas to get away from the general population. Drinks offered were very nice, many options at the bar. Our steward was very good as well. Overall, very happy with the cruise. Grande suite was perfect for my wife and I. Bravo to Carnival.

The ship looks tired, not well maintained, but comfortable, The biggest problem that I had was that the rules for being back on board at the correct time were not enforced. There was not one time when we were not waiting for tardy passengers who didn't care that they were late. In yesteryear they would have been left behind and had to catch a plane to the next destination. Surely if one is allowed to  break one rule how is it possible to enforce others?

The food in the Pinnacle Dining Room was exquisite, however the standard of the food in the Lido dining area was substandard at best. The service in the Black Pearl was dreadful.

However, overall it was a lovely time and the stateroom was clean, homely and relaxing. 

We had a great time on our 6 Night Western Caribbean cruise.  The many activities on ship were great.  Our stewarts and the wait staff were excellent.  I would definitely go on another cruise with Carnival, in fact we are looking for an even longer cruise for next time.

I have never taken an 8 day cruise before and I was a little concerned that it would be too long however it turned out to be one of my more favorite cruises. The wait staff were a bit on the slow side and they didn't seem as out-going as the ones from previous cruises. The excursions were awesome and Junette from was fantastic with getting this booked and dealing with all of my early questions.

There were minor issues onboard but overall, this was a great cruise. I will be booking with again.

I would certainly recommend this cruise to others. However, when you get to the Dominican Republic dont waste your time even leaving the ship. DR was dirty, very poor and very expensive. The rest of the trip was amazing!! The ship was nice, very clean. The wait staff in the restaurants were very slow this cruise though. The gentleman Imade that cleaned our room was amazing. So nice!

The staff so friendly and atmosphere thoroughly uplifting. Food,cleanliness and fantastic shows. Had so much fun.Met new friends and loved all the excursions.

My favorite part of the cruise was the Punch Line comedy and the Spectacular theaters.  There were very funny comedians in the comedy theater and wonderful shows in the Spectacular theater. We'd definitely go on another Carnival cruise.

My favorite part of the cruise was the themed party nights at the club and also the Mexican night. The part I think that needs improving was cleaning of the room, when I arrived to my room my bathroom was not cleaned and had an odor, and you could also smell sewage on the boat. 

Kayaking in Grand Turk was awesome,  standing in line for  everything, food  ect. Not enough  staff in dining room  and other food areas. RACHEL  at  guest services  bid and outstanding  job  making sure our  luggage  got on board. 

I had an amazing time on this vacation and this ship.  Though like many say, the decor is a bit eclectic, but I enjoyed it.  The staff was always working their tails off, constantly said hello with a smile, offered to help in any way and made the ship come to life.  The only 2 little complaints I had was the small pool sizes (especially the adult-only) - we were crammed in there on sea days - and the lack of control the pit bosses seemed to have.  I don't gamble a ton, but each night I did they allowed multiple people to chant "21" each time a new hand of black jack was dealt.  Funny at first, but then very annoying and distracting.  Multiple gamblers complained, but nothing was done.  Overall, I would go on this trip and this ship again in a heart beat!  I found the entertainment to be solid (especially the live music in the lobbies), the food scrumptious, the staff pampering and the ports breath-taking!!!

Our favorite part of this cruise was the band in the atrium. They are the Run for Cover band. They played the best of everything for everyone. The members of the band: Ronin, Vladamir, Paolo, Joshua, Brandon and Elizabeth were awesome, friendly and so in tune with each other. We were there each night they played. 

Our room steward, Jonathan took good care of us and our spa balcony room.

It was our anniversary and he surprised us with a card that included a gift card for wine and a gift card for the spa. This was above what we expected from our room steward.

We visited the ports of Grand Turk, La Romana, Aruba and Curaçao. 

This was our 5th cruise on the Splendor and enjoyed it as we always have before.

DINNING STAFF AND CABIN CREWS BEST WE HAVE EXPERIENCE SO FAR, THIS SHIP HAD THE MOST PLEASANT AND FRIENDLY STAFF OF ANY CRUISE WE HAVE BEEN ON SO FAR.

THE CARNIVAL SPLENDOR IS ALSO ONE OF THE CLEANER SHIPS THAT CARNIVAL HAS AND THE STAFF WAS CONSTANTLY CLEANING ON THE GO WHICH WAS GREAT TO SEE WHILE ON BOARD............................................................................................................................................................................................................................................I WOULD STRONGLY RECOMMEND THIS SHIP AND CRUISE TO ANYONE IN THE FUTURE.

These entertainers were awesome.

I wish the female entertainers were covering their rear ends as I had my children with me and it seemed a bit inappropriate.

I would have like to have done a few more things onboard on the port days- maybe a movie or something

The Cloud 9 Spa and the dining halls were my favorite parts of the cruise. I greatly enjoyed the Punchliner. I had been on the Splendor 4 times before and I noticed that there were some changes in service. I had taken my daughter, aged 32,  along for her first cruise. I had expected her to receive all the same amenities and treatment that I had received the first time I cruised, which was on the Splendor. There was no champagne upon arriving in the atrium nor any champagne going around up on Lido deck! There were only 3 towel creations on this 6 night trip!. What happened to the chocolates on the pillows in the evening? Our steward did not refer to us by name the entire trip. There were no robes in the cabin. There were no complimentary toiletries in the bathroom and the mini-bar was barren. At breakfast time all of the meat items are pork-based. Some beef bacon or beef sausage would have been great.

Overall we still enjoyed this trip. My daughter had a blast. Now she is a crusin' diva!

The boat was great, the staff was awesome, the ports that we visited was filled with the really kind people. I can't say enough about this vacation it was the best we have ever taken.

Staff was very professional and courteous.  The ship lacked very important maintaince.  Rooms had to be re-cleaned.  Bathrooms floors wreaked with urine. I personally used my shower gel to wash the floor.  Food left in refrigerator  from previous guest, acrylic nails on floor of our Balcony stateroom, curtains missing hooks and sagging., sheets had the worst smell, I sprayed them down with lysol

( much better). Worst of all the smell throughout the ship of another person's elimination (bowel) sickening and a black ring around the inside bowl of the toilet.  Rooms are suppose to be non smoking, never got much chance to use the balcony because of my neighbors who were smokers and used the balcony for that advantage.  Reported Marijuana smoking to cabin stewart,  it wreaked.  I'm aware this is suppose to be the fun ship, but a enjoyable time should be had by all.  I realize we are 2 of thousands, who come and go but I gave Carnival a break a few years ago.  And break it will be for a long time to come!
