Review summary

The staff tried and our steward was accomodating. The wait staff in the Black Pearl Resturant were attentive. Cabin was adequate. We paid for a spa cabin but found the steam rooms too hot and the chairs at the wrong angles for our backs.

The service in general was poor due to lack of sufficient staff. Lines at buffet were excessive and slow and stations often had no servers although food was in back and unreachable. Dining chefs could only cook food to medium rare (which was raw) or medium well which was well done. Stewards only did room once a day instead of twice. No greeters to encourage hand sanitizers at buffet.

Entertainment was marginal, casino smoky and in general the crowd onboard was rude and loud.

I was on the same trip and I and my entire group all had an amazing time! I didn't think the crowd was loud or obnoxious. For 3000 people it was pretty good. There is always going to be noisy people. The ship was very clean and the staff very attentive. I would not hesitate to cruise on the Splendor again!

We have our first trip aboard the Splendor booked for January. I have to say I've been watching reviews on her since I booked and this is one of if not THE first negative review I've seen. I plan on having a wonderful time!! Sorry you didn't.

I can't remember the show names specifically, but here is what I remember: 80s music show, disco music show, piano music show and epic rock show. We didn't go to the comedy shows. They were good shows.

I just cruised on the splendor in May 2016 and did not experience ANY of these negative issues but did experience a host of positive issues! Actually recommended splendor to my daughter and son-in-law and they leave this weekend on cruise!

Splendor is the best I've been on yet. the staff bent over backwards for us, ship was very clean and plenty of nooks and crannies to chill out in. main dining room and Nick and Nora's were good. chefs table was awesome! tip....don't skip the pizza spot, it will surprise you. granted, all of this was 4 yrs ago. Sorry to hear she is heading to Asia. hope she makes it back soon

We just returned from cruising on the Splendor last week. Fortunately, we did not encounter any of these problems. The food, crew, shows, etc were great! We thoroughly enjoyed our cruise.
