After several cancelled cruises, it was great to be able to finally get on board ship and enjoy everything we love about Carnival and cruising. We were lucky to have beautiful weather and everyone seemed to be enjoying their vacation.

We had an excellent time, met great people, the Carnival staff was exceptional as usual. The new muster station procedure was quick and efficient. My big complaint is the smoking in the Casino! it is just awful, as you sometimes have no choice but to pass thru. The areas around the Casino are terrible as well, like waiting in the Pixel photo area. The smoke is obnoxious. My clothes smelled like sXXX(excuse the language). There is absolutely no need for this to be still occurring in this day and age. It is time Carnival caters to the non smokers and let us enjoy the Casino and some fresh air. I feel I am denied the use of the Casino, and this is not fair. If they are going to continue to cater to a few smokers, just to make a few bucks, I will consider looking for non smoking cruise lines. There are a lot more non smokers who would enjoy the Casino.

Despite the COVID requirements, this was the best cruise. It was well managed from embarkation to debarkation. The Carnival staff were top notch and ensured that our vacation was fabulous from day 1.

All in all an awesome cruise after 2 years of not being aboard a ship. The ship was 60% capacity We felt very safe and secure despite the virus still circulating

Was good for the money. Was worth any more. Food was only fair.

Besides the fact that our whole itinerary was changed a few days prior to sailing. Ship was great. Would have like to been able to visit the islands I had originally booked or at least an explanation of why everything was changed

I really enjoyed it very much..would do it again. Would recommend anyone to take this cruise. Everything was just great, food, entertainment, service, people….

We had a wonderful time, went with my brother and sister in law for a 44th wedding anniversary. You can definiitely see cut backs. Rooms cleaned only once daily; buffet has limited selections; length of shows and number of shows cut back. We still had plenty to do. We enjoyed each others time, as well as spent time in the casino as well. Everyone on the ship was delightful and so happy to be back to work.

Horizon needs to work on service in steakhouse & ji ji

First cruise since 2019 after many pandemic delays! We couldn't have been happier to be back onboard and loved every day.

We had an absolute blast on the carnival horizon! I was so impressed with the staff and the cleanliness of the boat. It was really an amazing experience and I can't wait to go on another carnival cruise!

Ship had documented propulsion issues prior to our sailing but Carnival decided to take us out anyway. Poor decision. Engine went out, hot ash sprinkled out exhaust, banging under our room 3 days 5am-10pm until they got tired of us complaining. Had 11 excursions cancelled and missed 2 ports. We were given $100 OBC and 25% to use for future cruise. 6 days on the ship is not what we wanted. Same food, same entertainment, no escape. But we had beautiful weather.

Very disappointing. Began with first delay of evacuation of a passenger. Kept awake many nights by loud engine noises to later find out the engine failed and we wouldn't be stopping at 2 ports. Miserable being out to sea for 6 days with the same repetitive activities. I expected at least a partial refund for the inconvenience after sending a request to customer service. Guest care service agent GARY RODRIGUEZ replied basically telling me that I'm not entitled to any refund for the cruise. Overall I felt like the entire cruise was a waste of valuable time and money. It's a shame that Carnival chooses to offer a small gift of as compensation for this terrible experience which was of no fault of mine. Returning $69 for port charges was not a gift, it belonged to me since I didn't visit the ports. I paid $1400 for two passengers and we spent nearly an additional $5000 on board. All we received was a mere $200 on board credit, that is insulting and appalling. I will never cruise with Carnival again so 25% off the next cruiseis of no valueto me either. .

Carnival did not treat fairly the passengers on this cruise in terms of compensation for being late to the 1st port then not able to visit 2 ports because of issues with the ship

Ship was beautiful and the cleanliness was outstanding. The crew was pleasant at all times. Disappointed to miss two of the four ports and spend five days traveling at sea.

Overall the cruise was great. We did have mechanical issues that made us miss the last 2 ports, but carnival gave us each $100 obc, port fees and taxes back plus 25% of our base fare towards fcc. Im happy with that considering we didn't have anything planned for DR anyway. The staff was amazing as always, and I like the Imax theater, we saw Ghostbusters Afterlife. The Steakhouse was amazing as always. and the Pig and anchor brewhouse was good but not worth the extra money. Carnival has really upped their game with the food in the main dining room, way better then it used to be. Everything was great. Liked the layout of Horizen, it was easy to navigate. The Embarktation process was so fast and easy, took 15-20 mins from start to finish. This was our third time doing southern Caribbean, and it's still my favorite.

AWESOME, LOVELY, BEAUTIFUL, RESPECTFUL, CARING, FUNNY

It was a very nice leisurely fun cruise. There were not enough singles on this cruise. Carnival should do better marketing on this issue. It’s hard to have fun when everyone is “coupled up.” Every cruise should strive to have a certain percentage of singles onboard. I don’t like to go on singles “only” cruises because they are like a meat market. I’m not looking for a mate but it would be nice to have a large group of singles to mix with on the cruise.
