Review summary

The ship layout didn't like ...the food was boreing the same every morning....overall food could be improved.....even the Steakhouse has service issues.....it seems they are wanting us to pay extra for meals to get anything worth eating.....no variety in main dining room either....the ship was clean their service staff was so kind and patient with all of us....need more tables on decks to sit at instead of chaises...pools too small for so many passengers we will not be back to Carnival same price but less enjoyable then RCL

Embarkation

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

1 out of 5
Main dining room nothing that excited us...wait staff great....but only there 3 x

Onboard Activities

1 out of 5
pools too small for all those passengers on board.....needed a headliner for shows....didn't advertise shows...need to book reservations before cruising instead of waiting 45 mins until theatre books up....felt rushed all the time the shows were not good times...too late after dining

Entertainment

1 out of 5
only violinists were good the talent in theatres were not showcased enough to inspire interest

Children's Programs

3 out of 5
would be better if our 4 year old could have attended especially where they couldn't be vaccinated because of none developed for a 4 year old...so no vacation for the parents...kids were bored....thank good ness we could take him off ship to explore the islands

Service and Staff

3 out of 5
our steward never saw much only 3 days then we had to ask for ice...service not up to par?

Ship Quality

1 out of 5
Clean yes, but design is hard to maneuver around easily..took 4 days before comfortable...didn't like Atrium and fun shops on different levels....didn't want to bother to see them....like one floor of a straight deck to walk and watch people...stop in and out with shops and eating establishments there to enjoy and bars and entertainment right there at our convinence

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
lots of storage space, bathroom typical on ship....don't like door and window onto balcony like slider and the dividers on balconies need to be changed...can only open up every other not all so our group was separated somewhat....

Ship tip

don't try another cruiseline we will not be back

5 out of 5
our tour with Amaury and George was great would do again sometime...Amazing how blessed we are in AMerica....Thanks to Amaury and George we learned lots about Puerto Plata and its people...they were great take this van rental for 200$ 10 people private tour well worth it!

Disembarkation

1 out of 5
massive people let loose off the ship....horrible set up....not organized our 2 wheelchair bound friends were separated from our group and had to wait over 1/2 hour in the heat and sun for them to find us outside on the curb waiting for our rental shuttle that is another issue. so disorganized..needs much improvement
