I would recommend a different ship, as it had mechanical issues and we missed all of our ports on this cruise as well as the following cruise to Alaska. Such a bummer.

Take the stairs if you can, not only good for exercise, but the elevators are not expedient for so many people.

Very friendly staff. It never felt crowded even though outdoor activities were very limited because of weather. Make a reservation at Samba Grill. Radiancce and Allure are the only two ships with this specialty restaurant and it was outstanding!

All towns are walkable and for those who does not want to spend extra on day trips, the port of calls have decent shops, scenery and a 30 min hike (e.g., Ketchiken)

If you don't have kids, cruise during school in session. It was more adult than family cruise if you know what I mean.

If you are handicapped make sure you get an electric cart set up before you get on the ship. We were told different and was not able to get one.

Bring binoculars (with video recording if possible) so you can see onshore when on boat. Bring extra outlet cords and make sure they are extra long as there are no charging ports by bed and only 2 plugs on dresser. Also, make sure you know if you are getting a bunk (Pullman) bed.

I would not sail with this ship if you get seasick easily. It is small and you will feel the waves. We also had numerous electrical issues in our cabin.

The back of deck 5 has views you might not quickly find. But it's a stunning angle for seeing Alaska.
