Review summary

Excellent cruise and great value. Wonderful way to get introduced to Alaka.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
The timed process made embarkation very easy and less stressful

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Main dining room food was much better than our last cruise (pre-pandemic). The Windjammer was very consistent with past experiences. The Samba Grill was amazing!

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
Because this was an early May Alaskan cruise, outdoor shipboard activities were limited because of cold rainy weather. There was plenty to do inside with multiple activities every hour.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
All of the entertainment was excellent. We enjoyed all of the shows, music and bands. Island Vibz and Music Ventures were outstanding. We did mis a good piano bar sing-along musician however.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
good job by all

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Very clean ship. The Centrum on Radiance is small and some of the most popular activities were staged there (70's party, etc). The small space made it somewhat uncomfortable.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
The cabin was on par with what we've had in the past. Very clean though starting to show its age.

Ship tip

Very friendly staff. It never felt crowded even though outdoor activities were very limited because of weather. Make a reservation at Samba Grill. Radiancce and Allure are the only two ships with this specialty restaurant and it was outstanding!

Ports of call

Vancouver (Canada Place), British Columbia

Great scenery

Juneau, Alaska

Like a Caribbean port moved to Alaska. Including Diamond International.

Icy Strait Point (Hoonah), Alaska

5 out of 5
Small, but with the Sky Gondola and the zipline - not to be missed.

Sitka, Alaska

Pretty native. The Raptor Center was very educational

Cruise Hubbard Glacier

5 out of 5
Only way to explain this is WOW!

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Simple and easy.
