Review summary

Best vacation of my life. Stunning views. Beautiful Alaska just couldn't disappoint. And the crew on the Radiance and the perfect size of the ship made for a truly special experience.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Coming from MSC I wished for a little more out of Windjammer but the main dining was truly excellent.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
Almost no one seemed to know about the free steam and sauna but I enjoyed it every day.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Wow, everyone was so nice and I was amazed how much that added to a positive vacation experience.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Radiance gets a bad rep for being an older ship but the windows were everywhere making it easy to take in those Alaskan views all the time. And the small size of the ship meant we got closer to the glacier than anyone had in nearly three years.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
For an interior room that's supposed to be small it was quite spacious with the couch.

Ship tip

The back of deck 5 has views you might not quickly find. But it's a stunning angle for seeing Alaska.

I felt like we spent too long in Hoonah when Sitka was cut short.
