Some process could be better e.g., attempt to put traveling families together, not make the customer go through hell to get seapass, some staff could be friendlier and more courteous to make the experience top notched but overall the trip was memorable once we got our blood pressure down from the unnecessary hassles.
Embarkation
3 out of 5
Check-in person messed up our US passports, didn't give us proper SEAPASS and I have to go back and forth 1 hour to sort things out. Other than the oligatory "sorry" there were not other offers to make things right, like, walk-us right to agent, made sure we are taken care off and walk us back to the board, until I insisted that I will not stand in line again for another 30 mins.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
Jesus and Michael Lucas was our servers. They are courteous, friendly, and can carry on a conversation. They handled requests with expertise and exceptional customer service. I tipped them extra, each, each night.
Onboard Activities
4 out of 5
Some activities are fun like the Disco Night, some are so-so. Ask your crew - which activities has the most participation and maybe do 2 nights of that event.
Entertainment
4 out of 5
Only managed to see 2 shows but the entertainer from Argentina was better than Cary (comedian). Do more Broadway-like productions.
Children's Programs
Our party of 6 are all over 27 yo
Service and Staff
3 out of 5
The guy taking egg orders in Windjammer is grouchy on several days but I didn't let him spoil our experience. Jesus and Michael were excellent in providing top notched dinning.
-Your checkin personnel at Anchorage messed up our boarding passes and I spent 1 hour going back and forth between the terminal, gangway and back again. This is why RC didn't get 5 stars on this trip.
Ship Quality
4 out of 5
Ship is clean but some parts of the ship could use a refresh
Cabin / Stateroom
4 out of 5
Your checkin desk was curt and their first words are NO. I have requested a connecting room with my 4 other travelling guests but to no avail! There were no place on the website to even requests for connecting/adjoining rooms or even on the same floor or same side. I heard my fellow passengers say the same thing to the check-in folks - they told the agent, "Don't say no to people"
Ship tip
All towns are walkable and for those who does not want to spend extra on day trips, the port of calls have decent shops, scenery and a 30 min hike (e.g., Ketchiken)
Thanks for the review, glad they finally got your Sea pass figured out. Usually, when booking a cruise, you can select if you want to choose your cabin location (often for an extra cost) or just let them assign one later. If that option was not available, the ship was probably pretty full by the time you booked. Ships typically sail full so they never save cabins for people who want to switch when the cruise starts. You need to get that worked out earlier.
you could've called the cruise line to make the reservations for connecting rooms IF there were any available. you can't expect them to have connecting rooms the day of sailing when ships are at capacity
