Review summary

The Alaskan cruise is a must do adventure. If I had to book it again, we would not have cruised with RC. I am very used to DCL. RC really needs to work on their customer service. Lots of confusion. We were the first cruise out of Seward and you could tell. I will definitely cruise Alaska again, but on a different cruise line.

Embarkation

3 out of 5
Lots of confusion and congestion at the port. I've cruise multiple times and it has never been this unorganized.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Specialty dining was great. Drinks - never cruised where they did not leave a buffet open for water or tea longer. Very odd.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5

Entertainment

4 out of 5
Stage shows were ok. No comparison to the shows on DCL

Service and Staff

3 out of 5
Guest services were lacking. When disembarking at Skagway, so much confusion with guest services to get your tender ticket. We purchased the "key" as well. Not sure it was worth the extra money, because we couldn't get off at ports earlier like it was stated.

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
Windows were not kept clean when we ported. I noticed lots of guests talking about this. You go to Alaska for the views. Clean your ship!

Cabin / Stateroom

Attendant was great at keeping the room clean.

Having cruised on both Disney and the Radiance, I would say you are correct, Disney customer service and lots of things are better than RC. However, DCL costs several times more than that Radiance cruise but DCL is not several times better.
