Review summary

My cruise was a wonderful vacation. I enjoyed all the beauty that Alaska has to offer. I enjoyed meeting new people and I loved the great service and delicious food onboard. I only wish it had rained a little less!

Embarkation

5 out of 5
It was effortless.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
The food was delicious! I enjoyed the variety in the buffet and the wonderful service and wonderfully prepared food in the main dining room.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
I did not participate in onboard activities.

Entertainment

2 out of 5
The musicians around the ship were good, but the stage shows were either boring or not family friendly. They were definitely not up the Royal Caribbean's standards.

Children's Programs

I do not have children.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
All staff members are hard working and attentive to passengers needs. They are much appreciated.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
The ship was great. Easy to navigate and always clean and well-maintained.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
My cabin was great, a good size and always kept clean. I was very happy with my balcony room especially with all the beautiful scenery outside.

Ship tip

Enjoy the experience!

Ports of call

Seward (Anchorage), Alaska Did not visit port

I only rode the bus to the ship. Did not get to do anything in the port.

Cruise Hubbard Glacier

5 out of 5
It was cold, windy, and rainy but absolutely gorgeous!

Juneau, Alaska

5 out of 5
I visited Mendenhal glacier. It was beautiful.

Skagway, Alaska

5 out of 5
Skagway has beautiful scenery all around. I took the White Pass Train ride; definitely a must in Skagway.

Icy Strait Point (Hoonah), Alaska

5 out of 5
This is also a beautiful location. It's a great place to see whales right from the ship.

Ketchikan, Alaska

5 out of 5
Great little village with great little shops. I did not take an excursion this time, but have seen the lumber jack show in the past and it was great.

Cruise Inside Passage, Alaska

5 out of 5
I loved sailing the Inside Passage during the daytime. Amazing views.

Vancouver (Canada Place), British Columbia

5 out of 5
Did not take an excursion, but spent the night in a hotel before flying back home the next day.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
It was easy to catch a taxi from the port to the hotel for only $41. Something Royal Caribbean has arranged for passengers. The cabs are lined up and waiting for you.

Glad you had a good time. Yes those cheap fares for the beginning of Alaska season are great but there is a huge chance of bad weather. FYI, those taxis at the ports aren’t a Royal Caribbean thing. The taxis come for any ship and cruise line.

Thanks for posting. The Alaska cruise takes place in a rainforest.

Appreciate your detailed feedback. Sorry the weather was ideal, but Mother Nature can be fickle. Glad you enjoyed your Alaskan cruise.
