Review summary

The screw up from Anchorage to Seward was a HUGE problem. Leaving Vancouver our itinerary from you said Air Canada but it was United. This caused us another Huge problem.

Embarkation

3 out of 5
Our travel agent did NOT make arrangements for us to get from Anchorage to Seward which is 120 miles away and we very nearly missed the ship because of that caused a very stressful situation. When I called your staff no assistance or help was provided whatsoever. Very disappointed with the service from your company. If it had not have been help from the hotel staff we would have missed our cruise.

You didn’t use an agent did you….yes AirCanada code shares with United.

You are obviously an inexperienced traveller. Your flight would be a code share as those airlines are both Star Alliance partners. This coupled with you not knowing you have get yourself to the cruise port yourself means you need to seek guidance from someone more experienced in travel before you set out again.

Yes the TA could have told you to also book travel between the airport and cruise port and the cruise line could have set up a system for those who don’t prepare but at some point people also need to take a little responsibility for themselves.

I believe the stressful situation was caused by your travel agent. A knowledgeable travel agent would’ve known the ship did not depart from Anchorage.
