Always get to the comedy club or the Cavern 45 min early or prepare to stand.

Come early to the shows in the Cavern & Social club. The venues are quite small but popular

On sea days, have breakfast...Go to the gym or spa...Wait until Noon to 1pm to sit in the sun...It will be much easier to find a chair.

Go to shop tips and buy items on Amazon before you board - lanyards, magnet hooks, phone cases etc. GET WIFI PACKAGE BEFORE YOU SAIL

Familiarize yourself as much as you can before you go. There are social media sites where the menus are published, the "Dailies" are published- neither change greatly. Read the fine print in everything you receive from NCL, and listen to your servers for food choices.

If you're an early riser like me, get a cup of coffee from Starbucks and spend time on the Waterfront enjoying the ocean around you.

Tour the whole ship at the beginning of cruise so u don't miss anything..

If you visit Spice H2O make sure you give a bit of your time to the Steward for the area, Ellon. During our cruise he always greeted us with a smile and kind words. His service to guests in the area was tremendous to say the least. Ellon will tell you of his time working with NCL and his family

Try a new dish every day. There are so many delicious things to try. A foodies dream!

don't expect great cabin service and probably ok if you don't want to gamble or spend time outside lounging or walking on track

Make sure you plan out your days accordingly because it can become overwhelming, and you may miss out on some really cool things to do.

1st day sign up for everything or get a haven suite, without it there are long lines and chaos. Bookas muchas you can prior to the cruise.

patience, understanding and make the best of all bad weather

Haven is the way to go.

Bring lots of water bottles and other drinks for your room, because they are hard to find on board.

Don’t go. I have cruised on Royal Caribbean before and will never go back on Norwegian.

There were many single travelers on the JOY so it might be a good option if you are traveling alone. If you expect and enjoy any degree of sophistication in your travel, I would suggest you choose a different cruise line. I have not sailed on NCL for many years and was really shocked to see how the device and cruise experience has declined since my last cruise with NCL.

It's a large Ship so I'd do an online overview of it prior to sailing to get your bearings of what's what and where's where,

The omelet\egg stations on the breakfast buffet were almost always no to very little waiting. Wonderful to get a freshly made omelet or a couple of freshly cooked eggs over easy for breakfast.

Pack your patience. One the first day, get your bearings and explore the ship before you sail.
