make reservations for the dinners, shows and activities as soon as you can. I really wanted to try Ocean Blue restaurant & Teppayanki but couldn't get in because there weren't any openings.

Very big ship. Hard to acclimate oneself even in a day or two. Long journey, but after a bit ready to keep sailing. Nice to meet people, but can remain anonymous easily

Bring everything you paid for on paper, but the check in process before getting on the ship, completely messed up my kids room and changed their package by accident and it ended costing me more money for something I already prepaid.

Bring board games, cards and activities. Days at sea are long and boring.

Buy specialty dining coupons and drink coupons.

I ended up with pnemonia, had to have medical care, they were amazing, very over priced but well cared for, I was so happy with the doctor, Dr Roy, he was so kind and caring. The nurses were wonderful as well.

Meal level on the ship is definitely high comparing to other cruises.

Do indepth research on excursions. Way too expensive for what you get in return

Get to observation lounge early. It is packed. It was offensive to me to see people sleeping on all the couches all the time I think this should not be allowed.

Explore the ship. There are all kinds of nooks and crannies on the ship. We missed some of the bars and entertainment as they are tucked away in corners. It really is a fun ship.

Don’t go in April. It was cold and choppy.

The balcony cabins no longer have a coffee maker in them ... however ... they are available. You just have to ask your room steward.

Do not miss the observation deck. We did not discover it until the 3rd day. You will be impressed

Do not sail out of the Los Angeles port. It was extremely disorganized during the embarkation. It was a horrible start to a vacation.

I would buy extra specialty dinners and the unlimited wi fi. The complimentary restaraunts all require reservations and are very crowded.

Investigate Cruise Credit policy.

The Aft elevators were far less crowded then the forward elevators. Make reservations before you get on the boat

Great room

The specialty package choice of $200 for $50 per port excursion credit AND 5 specialty restaurants was well worth the value. A hint I suppose would be that ships in this larger class on NCL do not have obstructed ocean views so no reason not to select just a basic ocean view ... but on this cruise the upcharge for balcony was only $50.
