Overall, I would book another cruise with Norwegian but would research the stops before booking. The ship itself and the entertainment and things to do were excellent. It was a very good experience.
Embarkation
4 out of 5
It was quite easy to check in. There was a little confusion about paperwork, but overall one of the easier and more organized check-in's.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
4 out of 5
There were a lot of good options and the food overall was good just not exceptional. Staff was friendly and attentive. The buffet was hit and miss - one night was really great so we went back the next night and it was so-so.
Onboard Activities
4 out of 5
The pools were quite small. The two big slides were a fun novelty. The fitness center is large and a very good experience. The observation deck on level 15 is a fun place to hang out.
Entertainment
5 out of 5
This is one of the ship's best features as the entertainment was exceptional and plentiful. There is something for everyone. We especially liked the comedians and the Beatles cover band.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
Everyone went out of their way to be courteous and helpful. Our steward, David, was a gem.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
The ship was spotless at all times.
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
Our cabin was actually 15178 as we got an upgrade and it was very roomy, bathroom was large and comfortable and the balcony was a great size. We wish we had the bed at our home it was so comfortable!
Ship tip
Explore the ship. There are all kinds of nooks and crannies on the ship. We missed some of the bars and entertainment as they are tucked away in corners. It really is a fun ship.
We didn't do an excursion here as we thought we would just wander the town and explore. It doesn't lend itself to that. Either do an excursion or plan on doing things on the ship. It was actually scary when we got off and we got right back on.
We had a great time at Harvest Caye, but this is not really Belize. This is an island owned by Norwegian and it is more of a water park. We had fun as we could use the free lounge chairs and umbrellas and then hang by the pool but it is all manmade.
We've been to Cozumel before and really enjoyed it. When there are four cruise ships at one time it is quite crowded. We ended up going to a restaurant with a beach but all the lounge chairs were filled. We had a nice time but too many people (and this was with 60% capacity on our ship)
