A: By most accounts, it’s barely noticeable. The ship hasn’t sailed to Alaska yet, though, where it would be most noticeable. But it’s not really “gutted.” They took about one half of one side.

A: Ships are fully loaded with guests. But you can still find space to yourself if you look.

A: If you sail when schools are in session, there will be less kids and it will be slightly less crowded. But ships are still sailing at 100% capacity and above, when you include cabins with more than 2 guests. It will still feel crowded at times.

A: I've never done one because I constantly hear Hawaii is overated. If I were to do one Id get a one way that incorperates Japan and/or Alaska.

A: I can only suggest one I would not go on! We did the NCL Pride of America cruise in 2022. Booked it because it is the only ship that originates and ends in Honolulu. You can hit all the islands on a 7 day itinerary. However, we found the ship outdate... d and not well maintained. The ports were primarily industrial sites and Hawaii itself seemed over-rated. I was there in early 80’s and it has changed a lot. NOT for the better. If it is bucket list must. I agree with other comments to select a cruise that stops in Hawaii as part of bigger itinerary. Good Luck!See More

A: the "all you can eat" internet package is the same the first day as the last... so no, you can't order it on the third day for savings. A: One thing we’ve learned, most cell phone carriers cover the Caribbean islands and Mexico. Depending on your itinerary, you may find that you don’t need an internet package or can at least make due with cheapest option offered.

A: Personally, the pier, while incredibly expensive, is the best choice. There have always been spots, and porters are there to help with bags. There's directions somewhere, but last time (March), we came from the South on the WSH (I'm old, it's 9A on... Google maps) and just looped around under it and made a left/u-turn at 57th st. It looped around right back to the pier. Watch for bicyclists and pedestrians, stay in the right hand lane, then stay to the left going up the ramp. There are signs.See More

A: It's stupid but you go through a toll booth at the first pier, then they send you to the second. PREPAYing saves you money.https://cruise.nyc/MCT-directions-parkingThe parking pre-pay is under that link, I can't post enough letters to do it.

A: I was in 5111 which is an interior cabin. If you go to bed early (before 11:30pm) you might hear noise. I went to bed late every night except the final night when I was back in my cabin early. I did hear some noise, definitely the bass thumping. I br... ing a small fan for white noise and also play videos on my iPad to fall asleep so it didn’t bother me at all. No early morning noise at all.See More

A: Their dress code is far more relaxed than that. T shirts and shorts are perfectly acceptable in the dining room. Just no bathing suits and the like.

Answered by Jerrec on March 19, 2024

A: Norwegian doesn't have formal nights but you can dress up when you want and get pictures taken. Dining room dress code is resort casual. Collared shirts and dockers type pants for the men and dress or nice pants for women. No flip flops, shorts or... swimwear. They have all the info on the website also.See More

A: I was it in June of last year. It was some virtual boards in some of the halls near the elevators. You could make reservations on it for dinner and activities.

Answered by urhyness on March 20, 2024

A: You can make dining reservations by going to the dining section of the app and scrolling down until you find the restaurant you want. If there are still reservations available, it will allow you to pick a day and time. Don't worry if your preferred d... ay or time isn't available, because I heard they only let 20% of the available reservations be booked through the app and you should still be able to book on the ship. If it's easier for you, you can also call 1-866-234-7350. Have your reservation number ready and they can help you.See More

A: When you arrive, make reservations for the week. You may find that you can only get a later dining time. Show up and let them know you have a reservation. They usually got me in quickly at 5:30 regardless of my reservation time.

Answered by CruiseQueen34 on February 11, 2024

A: If by Freestyle you are referring to the complimentary dining, most do not offer reservations. Specially dining will allow you to make reservations. It never hurts to ask the restaurant ahead of time however that you have a large party and don’t real... ly want to wait. Slip them a $50 bill and I’m guessing they can get you in without much wait.See More

A: If i might suggest that if the drinker in the cabin has just a few drinks a day its very worth the non drinker paying the free at sea gratuities for the alcohol package even if he doesn't drink....(i ran out of character allotment to finish my answer... .. sorry)See More

Answered by picalo on December 27, 2023

A: we declined the package on a recent cruise and bought one soda package. However for the most part no one asked for the card but just gave the soda. I'm glad I knew we'd paid for it on principle but it's really not enforced.

Answered by leerats on December 26, 2023

A: all adults in the cabin have to have the same package, so if you have the drink package they have to have it also. if neither of you drink, you can decline the beverage package and purchase the soda package, its about half the price of the required... gratuity if you were to take the beverage package.See More
