Review summary
The cruise in general was very good. The Observation Lounge on deck 15 was my favorite place to hang out. "The Local" dinning area was open 24/7 and had some of the best food on the ship. I especially enjoyed the anytime dinning and the relaxed dress code. It was nice to be able to go to dinner without having to change from my day clothes. The food was about average for most cruise ships. My real complaint was that my shipboard credits could not be used to pay for gratuities. This policy was not to be found in any of the literature I could find and the customer service personal were unable to show me anything that stated this policy. In the last year I have cruised on Princess, Royal Caribbean, Celebrity and Cunard and none of these cruise lines had this same policy. I was really considering cruising more often with Norwegian until this issue came up. Now I will have to think long and hard before taking another cruise with them. There are too many other good cruise companies available with better cruise credit policies.Embarkation
