The staff was the best we ever encountered on any other cruise. The cabin was roomy, meticulously cleaned and fabulous!

Having tried RCL just before my NCL cruise to Bermuda, I am more and more convinced that NCL sits in the top tier of the cruising industry. First to start with the food quality at the buffet, whether it is for breakfast , lunch or dinner is amazing. Coffee and juice stations are available throughout the ship. The observation deck of the ship is out of this world. The staff might fall a little short in terms of friendliness but it is ok, they are doing what they are being paid for. One room of improvement would be the main dining room. They need to upscale their menus. But still it is ok.

This cruise could not have been any better than it was. This was definitely one of our top cruises, if not the top one. The crew was phenomenal. The best staff we have had in quite a while. Every single crew member was so friendly. No complaints at all.

We probably will not take the Joy again. We had a good time but with the changes coming to the Joy to make it even less family friendly we will probably pass on this ship.

Had a great time. Met lots of great people. Ship is great and shows we're good.

Good trip overall most likely my last cruise for awhile don't like how crowded boat was

This was our fist NCL cruise and our last. The customer service was horrendous. Our room steward never cleaned our room . The sheets, linen, towels had stains on them so you questioned if they were even clean. There was a sewer smell in our bathroom. The walls are so thin we heard our neighbor screaming at her poor kid Thomas for seven days straight. Never met them but felt for Thomas . Worst cruise ever and we cruise three times a year.

Cruise was fun family time and enjoyed it very much.

The best part of the trip was the Norwegian Joy’s staff with their daily greetings and smiles. The ambience of the ship, comical baking contest with cake tasting included and the other activities all over the ship with some music bands by the pool to relax. We had vacation.

There is really not enough room to right all of my complaints! I normally don’t leave reviews but I feel people should be warned DONT do this cruise!

Absolutely horrendous lines, you need to be at any show at least 30 minutes ahead of time to not be shut out or standing room only. Lines for food, pool, shows,could not wait to get home

Cruise was great. Joy is beautiful and clean. Crew were always working. Even when I got up to go on balcony at 3am they were hosing outside decks down. Cabin was clean however, we were right across from a crew access area and there was banging and scraping noises all night. Also some jerks were smoking in cabin and a couple days couldn't go on my balcony. I'm allergic to cigarette smoke. And someone was smoking weed. Not allergic to that smoke but it smells horrible. Was in hallway and also outside on balcony. Some people are so inconsiderate

The food, entertainment were all good. The staff was amazing. Elevators were hard to get, pool lounges hard to get, getting shows booked hard to get, dinner reservations hard to get and lines at restaurants & bars. The organization and communication was horrible. I've never been on a cruise with embarkment and disembarkment like this.

Too many people for too few activities, slow service, and disaster getting on and off. Would not do NCL as a result again, pity at ship clean, food very good (even if took two hours to be served meal each time), and staff helpful. Senior leadership failure which I doubt will be fixed.

Great cruise but let down by late arrivals in some ports and a port change.

Maybe best suited for elderly people, those who like to take the stairs and don’t enjoy buffets.

Terrific vacation over all. I am glad my concerns of the passenger capacity were unfounded.

Would definitely sail the JOY again. Breakaway class of NCL simply the best at sea. Fantastic design

The cruise itself was terrific. Food was very good, ship and staterooms were clean / well maintained, staff was incredible and the itinerary was great. See below for details. However…. NCL should be ashamed of their customer service and flight planning. They initially had us on a flight plan with a 45 minute layover from domestic to international flights. Anyone who flies in major airports knows that’s impossible. They initially said they would fix the flights…then 10 days before the cruise they called me and said they refused to change anything for us, even after promising this would not happen and us purchasing 800$ CAD insurance through NCL. When speaking with NCL customer service I was so disappointed with the attitude I was met with. I asked an agent - “what do I do if I miss my connection and the cruise embarkment, I’m losing my vacation and money spent” to which I was told “well I would never book flights the day of the cruise”. This was infuriating…and all interactions were similar to this. Very disappointed. It all worked out because we actually got lucky - the airport we supposed to fly in to flooded, so our flights changed to a different airport and benefited us…dodged a bullet. Upon arrival at the airport there was no shuttle service ready for the load of people waiting who had prepaid for it. We ended up waiting over an hour for any sort of transit. Meanwhile all other cruise lines had representatives and shuttles ready to go. See below for the insanely poor disembarkment details… Like I said, once we got on the ship everything was as close to perfect as you could expect - for cruise experience NCL has it all and I would always recommend the cruise line.

Enjoyed all the ports, loved the ship and staff. A few complaints but overall a wonderful cruise.
