Embarkation

Super fast. It was just over an hour from leaving our hotel 10 minutes away till we walked on the ship. Whole process was quick and easy.

Food and Dining

Overall food was good. We ate at main dining rooms, Cagney's, The Q, American diner and the Local. The only place that was not to our liking was the Q.

Onboard Activities

We did games in atrium which was very crowded but fun. Also bingo in theater was fun.

Entertainment

Saw both shows, Footloose and Elements. Both were good. Couldn't get in to comedy shows or Beatles. However the cavern bar on the waterfront was great for watching the Beatles, bands and karaoke.

Service and Staff

All staff members were great. Very friendly and hard working. James the bartender at Cavern bar on waterfront was awesome! So was our room steward Owen.

Overall room was great and spacious. Bathroom was large and spacious. Loved the double sinks and large shower with tub. The location was awful 😖 It is located directly above the Cavern club. So all shows you hear as if you are there in person. Our floor literally vibrated from the music. Karaoke was every night till 11:30!

Ship tip

Overall a great ship and shows. Make sure to research room location. I thought I did but was off. We didn't use pool but it was very crowded when we walked up there.

Appreciate your detailed feedback. Lesson learned that booking over the club, no matter how wonderful the cabin, is not the best idea. Unless of course you plan on being in the club until it closes every night. Most of us have made similar mistakes. Glad you enjoyed your cruise otherwise.

NCL Joy

The ship was way too crowded could not get seats at pool areas. Food was pretty good.specialty restaurants Cagney was good food republic was horrible. Did not do any excursions from Ncl because they where almost triple then what you can do on your own.
